We were just driving in for a bit, did not stay but the scenery was amazing! It was very beautiful, clean and quiet. There was a lodge with cabins, campground, people fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding but not over populated. Definitely on our list to camp at in the future.
Upper Ward CG is shady and sites are small and very tight for any larger TTs or RVs. Lower Ward CG is much more open sunny and sites are better for TTs and RVs. Neither CG has cell signal. Vault toilets, dumpsters and water spigots. No RV dump though. $22/$11 senior
Very clean, very quite, host was very helpful. Some of the cleanest vault toilets I have ever used.
Although I didn't camp, it seems like a nice place for smaller RVs and tent campers. Typical federal park with vault toilets and water but no further services. It made a nice place to enjoy a sandwich and a beer while touring the Grand Mesa Byway.
Ward is one of our favorites to go to on the Mesa, camp sites looking right out to lake, beautiful! Alot of wildlife
