Very well kept property. Property had good tree coverage and was a bit more rustic. Lot 54 was great as a pull through. Others were not too close. Restrooms and showers immaculate. Staff friendly and helpful for planning our drive to DC with our little dog. Shout out to Elaine for the beautiful flowers!
It's the least camping like experience you could expect while camping. The tent sites are 78 dollars a night for a standard run of the mill spot, you might as well get a hotel for that price. They enforce the "1 camping unit per site" but somehow allow you to have up to 6 people. Informed us well after the fact after we set up tents that we couldn't have them there, which was funny because the camp staff must have driven past about 20 times and waited till it was dark to inform us. Least fun I've had while camping. Camp staff make patrols at least every five minutes past your campsite, it's like having helicopter parents watching you the entire time. You could have a more authentic camping experience by sleeping in your backyard than going to this place. Crazy price point for a campsite that's less than half a mile from the highway, don't come here.
I have stayed at many KOA’s and none like this. No TV cable or WiFi streaming and nothing stated on their site or KOA app. Another big item I did not see mentioned on there site is a $2.00 charge per day if you have a dog. My dog is small and goes on a bad in my unit. I carry my own bags outside. They say it is to cover the cost of the bags at the dog stations. Never saw this in my many years of camping. One and done for this campground.
I am an avid traveler and out of the 12 campsites I’ve been to, this is by far the BEST! The amenities are so fun and family friendly. The oak trees are so beautiful and provide such nice shade all over the campsite. The shuttle system is great and very easy. The workers were so friendly, especially Bill. He was so kind and interested in getting to know you.
The staff here are phenomenal! Special Thank You to Phoenix for your help when I broke down. You truly saved me. I'll never forget your kindness and your beautiful soul. The bathrooms are super clean. I was very impressed. The scouts loved the Gaga ball pits. The store was very cute. They even sell ice, firewood and propane. I came on a day when they ran a 40% off sale. That was awesome.
