Very nice campground near Carson City Nevada. Water and electricity. Blacktop pads. Picnic table s with ramadas. Wild horses in the area. Lake Washoe and mountain views. No residents of Nevada are limited to 7 night stays in a 30 day period. Lake Tahoe is about an hour away.
Nice campground with 2 water faucets with hose attachments. Two corrals have canopy tops, one of those is severely bent and unsafe for a horse with a water faucet. Two other Corral's are very nice size & rectangular but no water faucet. Two more Corral's are decent in size and have a water faucet. Scatter manure. The fire pit is in the middle of the entire camp. The Porta potty is close to the campground. Unfortunately non equestrians were allowed to camp with their RV's in the day use only & no camping allowed area. They were very loud past the standard 10 pm quiet time. $20 a nite. The payment kiosk doesn't work for the equestrian campground. No maps are available. You will see wild Mustangs, we were told the stallions are very aggressive. There is a round pen, arena with bleachers and some wood bridges for an obstacle.
A wonderful camp! Quiet, not crowded, and they had few vacant spots on a Saturday night. Its not a national park, but it’s $25 to book per night. It’s fun to see the wild horses and the stables nearby. Also the sunsets are beautiful over Slide Mountain. It’s peaceful here. So many wonderful mountains and lakes and plants to explore and take a look at. Toilets are pretty clean and flush! There are bathrooms with sink too.
Peaceful campground, nice camp host, nice pull through spots. Each spot has a big picnic table with fire pit/grill water and electric, dump station on site, trails to lake, lake has toxic green algae so do t let your dogs play or drink the water. Lake has more than a few different types of fish. Beautiful day area near lake. Beautiful views.
Beautiful campground in the Washoe State Park. Gorgeous views all around. Wild horses in the surrounding areas. Easy check in for first come first serve. June 2024
I love this campground, the people are super friendly and dog friendly. It's very quiet. It's beautiful too. We had a bird nest in the roof over the picnic table. It was so chill. We went to Virginia city. Very dog friendly, Floki had lunch with us and did a bit of gambling! LOL
Renegade 38ft - FHU - Good location for base camp between Reno & Tahoe & at $35 a night, what a deal. Small electric loop so make plans way ahead. Lots of 1 nighters coming & going every day. Felt safe but there was a homeless person dumpster diving for cans that concerned my wife. We camped at Washoe Lake State Park in a Motorhome.
Nice level, clean spots. They have water, 50/30 power, and wifi. No sewer at sites, but a dump station at the entrance/exit. Beautiful setting.
