I loved this peaceful and quiet place! Clean restrooms and bear-proof trash. No water, electric, or dump station, so come prepared. The drive up is a bit scary, even for my Class C. Once you start, there's no turning back. Passing another vehicle on the way up or down would be tricky!
The rocky road up is worth it! Sedans and large RVs can make it. Beautiful area, clean vault toilets. Bring your own water. Shady and secluded sites. Highly recommend! Verizon reception is spotty.
Awesome campground! Plenty of spots, not too busy. Amazing views, hiking trails, and a great drive up to the observatory. Lots of wildlife. Great spot!
Always enjoyed this campground! Lots of hiking trails and beautiful views from the top of the mountain.
Stayed in the parking lot by Mesa Trail #13 Trailhead, near the campground. Very nice area with lots of trails. No cell service (Verizon) 3 miles up Water Canyon Road. Bring water! Some trash left by other campers.
