Wow! One of those great campgrounds that you don’t want to leave! Spotless, attractive, perfectly maintained facility with amazing waterfront RV sites. Panoramic views in all directions. Friendly accommodating staff. Thanks Rebecca!
Alex and Becky are simply the best! They are so friendly and knowledge always wanting to help make your stay more enjoyable! They help you with whatever questions you have about what services they offer, to where to travel to see different sites while you are staying there. The Tablelands hike is breathtaking and there zodiac body tour is absolutely amazing! I stayed in one of their suites, it was so comfortable and relaxing right at the water I had my own fire pit and porch. The food they make is delicious. I can't say enough about my experience there! I have went back for 2 summer's now. I feel they are like family!
What a fantastic place to park our trailer. Great location for everything in that area. The water front sites are amazing. The people that work there, super friendly. I was concerned because it’s right next to a road but it quiets down at night and you don’t even hear anything. They have a communal fire pit where everybody goes at night, which is really nice to get talking to people. Washrooms were clean. We will definitely stay here again.
My family stayed at this RV park for 3 days and it was an incredible experience and beautiful stay. We had an Oceanside lot, where we saw tuna swim by everyday. Views were amazing, sunsets over the water. We also participated in the cod fishing tour, Alex our host was awesome, everyone on board caught many varieties of fish and we caught enough to make a Cod fish lunch and dinner. Furthermore, the bathroom facilities were well maintained, clean and nicely finished. 10/10 note: no coin laundry, no dumping station (although public dumping station is 5-10min away)
Alex and Becky, the young couple who are the new owners are, in their words, "living the dream". Native Newfoundlanders, they purchased the campground in the past year and are working diligently to add improvements and provide great experiences for their guests. In addition to the campground, they offer outdoor activities such as fishing, boat tours, kayaking and escorted hikes. It was delightful to see the energy this couple brings to their dream endeavor. We planned for one night but stayed for 3. As others said the campsites are tight and close to the road, but minimal traffic and the beautiful water views more than make up for it. Only minutes from the Tablelands Trail and an awesome interpretive center it is also convenient to the restaurants and shops in the nearby town of Woody Point. We picked up some live lobster at the 3Ts convenience store and boiled them up back at the campground. (Per a recommendation, we boiled them in seawater...delicious).
