Stayed in Loop A since that is the only loop open this time of year. The host in loop A is very engaging and helpful. He worked hard at keeping the loop looking well taken care of. There were two homeless campers, one with a 5th wheel with no way to tow it, which gave the host anxiety because the 14 day limit is coming up. He explained to us that they have new rangers and hosts that will no longer accommodate the homeless, so the campground will be 'follow the campground rules' from here on out. Beyond that, it's a pretty park with level paved sites, pretty quiet spot with great river access. Bathrooms in loop A were clean and heated. Showers are standard dark tile/cement block, kinda creepy. Also be aware that the dump station is not free to campers like it normally is, there is a $10 fee to use it and signage is poor explaining this. The host in Loop B where the dump station is was very little help and acted like we were putting him out to ask about the dump situation for campers. He really should not interact with the public with his attitude. We probably will not go back due to the high fee when you add in the dump fee, the park does not offer a serene camp experience and is not up to par for the pricing. It has potential but you can feel the drug and homeless aura all around it. That may change with the new rangers, time will tell.

Came in early spring. Quite empty and half the park was closed. $10 fee for sewer dump and a few of the campers were homeless but quite friendly, didn't beg or anything like that. Hosts were friendly and informative. Bathrooms are heated, which was nice. Easy access to river with a boat launch. Huge fenced dog park and disc golf course.

Very nice park, plenty of room, concrete slabs for park rv or tent, lots of very well mantained grass. Unlimited hot showers, spotless bathrooms, river is nice. Pretty cheap too, i will come back for sure

Great outdoors space. Tall trees and shadows. Santiam River with some white water. Quiet getaway. Boating, fishing, trail hiking, swimming, sitting, relaxable.
