Watermelon Park & RV Campground

I came out here with my brothers and we had a great time. Staff was great -- awesome customer service! Make sure you tip your driver! We went tubing and the trip down the river was about an hour and a half. Make sure to bring some sunscreen with you.

This RV park is immaculate! I was afraid to make such a nice post because this spot is so nice and very well managed. You almost want to keep it a secret, but watermelon resort deserves all the praise for hosting us. We stayed during a holiday weekend, our check in was simple, gated spots, pristine bathrooms, and beautiful views. The resort has a small market on-site for any missed items and tubing connected to the park. The river is viewed from most of the spots or an easy walk in the park. All patrons minded quiet hours and were courtesy of our camp. We really enjoyed ourselves! If you venture off grounds, there is a nice farmers market with hot pies, fresh produce, and canned goods. It's definitely worth a stop

We had a great day tubing on the river with our friends. We brought 2 8yo kids. They require all kids 12 and under to wear life vests. The park is in a Verizon cellular dead zone and while they do have WiFi for the RV campers, we didn’t get access to it. It wasn’t an issue since we were all playing in the water for a couple hours. For my daughter and myself, the cost including tax was about $50. Not bad. The tubes are nice and they have tubes with bottoms for the kids as well as a tube for coolers. The area of the river was shallow today, mostly about 3’. Near the end it was too deep to reach the bottom. The restrooms are port a johns but they smelled surprisingly good and had a grid floor that added to cleanliness. They had toilet paper. We would have loved a beach shower afterwards because we would have liked to go to dinner together afterwards. Great day.

We are long term campers here, having left a park that closed down. We've been here for about a month. Now that we're settling in and interacting, we are happy to be here and are happy with park management. Manager has recommended a pet sitter for us for over the holidays. She has found a staff person to help us out to seal a roof leak. And she also lent us an electric heater to help us stay warm while our furnace is being worked on. We feel like we're being looked after, which is comforting when things aren't going exactly right. SERVICE IS JUST OUTSTANDING!!!!
