Watkins Glen / Corning KOA Resort Introduce

Welcome to Watkins Glen / Corning KOA Resort, located at 1710 State Route 414 (GPS address: 1710 KOA Dr, Watkins Glen, NY 14891). As a part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, this KOA resort offers a variety of camping options and amenities for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

You can reach them at (607) 535-7404 or +1 607-535-7404.

Visitors consistently praise the resort for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities. The "bathrooms and showers were very clean," and the "indoor pool and spa" are also described as "very clean," with towels provided. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and the resort is often decorated for seasonal events, creating a festive atmosphere, particularly during Fall/Halloween.

Accommodation options include "basic camping cabins," which are described as being "as advertised." The staff is commended for their responsiveness, particularly when addressing guest needs, such as providing a larger heater during cold nights.

The location is highlighted as a significant advantage, offering easy access to popular attractions such as "Watkins Glen" and "Taughannock Falls." The resort provides a range of amenities, making it ideal for extended stays to fully utilize the available facilities and activities.

However, some guests have noted that the resort can be noisy due to "traffic and vehicles movement" and "golf carts all hours of the night." This can detract from the overall tranquility of the stay. Additionally, most sites are described as "sloped," requiring leveling blocks or ramps for campers.

The resort is also noted to be on the "pricey end," so potential guests should be aware of the cost. Despite the noise and site leveling challenges, the resort is generally recommended for its cleanliness, amenities, and convenient location. Guests are advised to choose sites at the opposite end of the park for a quieter experience.

Our experience at this KOA was excellent. We stayed in a basic camping cabin and it was as advertised. We had some cold nights and after our first night, asked for a larger heater since the next 2 nights were going to be colder and staff delivered immediately. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and showers had hot water. The location is perfect for a trip to Watkins Glen and Taughannock Falls. We enjoyed the indoor pool and spa which were also very clean and towels were available for our use. The campground was decorated festively for Fall/Halloween which made it fun too! We have already recommended this campground to others! Thank you for this perfect place to stay during our trip to NY!

Location is great. Lots of amenities definitely need more than we weekend to take advantage and utilize all the available facilities and activities. Would have been 5 star if it wasn’t for all of the traffic and vehicles movement during our stay. Vehicles in and out of the park and golf carts all hours of the night. Definitely not a quiet location. But was extremely clean, washrooms/showers impeccable, grounds maintained, most sites have are sloped so bring leveling blocks/ramps. Overall would recommend and return but would choose a site opposite end of the park. This location is on the pricey end so be aware.

This campground is conveniently located to Watkins Glen and the west side of the lake. It is a short drive to the state park and raceway as well as several waterfalls. We had a site near the entrance to the campground because we wanted to be close to the amenities. We were within walking distance of the office, mini golf, pools, slide and jump pads. My kids really enjoyed the giant water slide. It was a highlight of the campground. We also enjoyed the hiking trail along the back of the campground. We were out sightseeing everyday so we did not use the outdoor pool or jump pads. They looked nice although there were no umbrellas at the pool, so no shade at all. The indoor pool is an indoor pool. Very humid and a bit smelly. The gravel made bike riding a little difficult. There are some larger rocks that can make a smaller rider fall(which I witnessed). There are also many potholes. The area by the slide and jump pads is not very welcoming. Weeds are overgrown and the 6 ft tall chainlink fence makes it feel like a prison(maybe it is for code?). The camp wood at this KOA is poor. It is too dense and smokes. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. This campground could be great if they tended to a few of this items I mentioned here.

Problem with someone banging on the drums for over 2 hours and was told they can do that until 11pm. The office offered to talk to the site with 3 cars and six adults staying on one site. My campsite had a huge pile of grease all over the grass and the fire pit full of embers when we arrived. Lots are small and close to each other. Paid a god buck for the lot, disappointed. The upside was the indoor pool and hot tub are very nice minus the screaming screeching 8 to 10 year old and kids running all around the pool. Nothing can be done about poor parenting. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful as well, they felt bad for the banging drum. My husband tried to talk with the drummer calmly but they just completely ignored him. We have had better experiences in state parks than Koas definitely.

Our deluxe cabin was fantastic and there were even super delicious cookies set out for us as we entered. We stayed two nights and were very pleased. The staff was very helpful and really made us feel welcome. And the chocolate chip cookies get SIX Stars 😊!

Clean campground, good WiFi (you’ll need it as there is little to no cell reception), bathrooms are nice. I’d be inclined to give a better review if the person mowing had a little common courtesy and if I wasn’t told to sign a massive legal document upon arriving that if we didn’t sign, we couldn’t stay. We booked our stay for memorial weekend 2025 to arrive Thursday and checkout Tuesday to avoid a lot of the traffic and have some peaceful time to ourselves as we knew the weekend would be incredibly busy. The waver we were told we had to sign on property is lengthy and all encompassing. The basic of it was if you are hurt on site, through your action or camp ground negligence you are waving any and all rights to sue the campground, its owner, its employees or parent company. I’m not sure why this couldn’t be sent ahead of time, for review, it’s a shady business practice at best. That aside, we were really looking forward to Monday. I knew when all the weekend warriors checked out, we could enjoy a little nice weather and relax before having to return to reality. I should preface this by saying I’m perfectly fine with them having to mow lawns and I understand after a long weekend they want to get the lawns mowed, but can’t you have a little courtesy and not mow the site that I’m staying in while eating lunch? Extreme lack of common courtesy, not to mention the lawnmower is in disrepair. Sounds like it has a burnt exhaust valve and keeps backfiring because the fuel is mixed too rich in the carburetor. The backfires scared our dogs to the point one of them had a panic attack when I tried to say something to the guy mowing. He moved over to the next site and finished ours five minutes later instead of letting us calm our pups down. We were literally checking out the next day. Why couldn’t you have mowed the site we were staying in the following day? A lack of common courtesy, and some shady business practices are why we will likely never return to this campground.

We were only here to visit camper friends but it was fabulous. They had so many activities to enjoy including karaoke, jump pillow, pirate ship playground, indoor swimming. And the staff was incredibly kind. We will definitely be back to camp on our own!

We have been coming here for many years and always enjoyed our stay. In the past, wifi service was sporadic but we were notified this year this had been upgraded. Wrong. They cut cable tv service and if you want to watch tv, you have to stream, unless you have a satellite. Trying to have a relaxing evening after a busy day and internet keeps dropping. Can't even enjoy a movie and too chilly to be outside. Did not have an issue last evening when campground wasn't full.

This is the nicest KOA campground we've ever camped at. Exceptionally clean restroom and shower areas. The grounds are well maintained and the staff was very friendly. Lots of amenities for the young and young at heart.
