Large campground with plenty of space and good-sized rustic sites with fire ring and trash/recycling, very affordable! No electric and only one bathhouse on a long loop, so be careful which site you pick or face a little hike on the shaded path or camp loop road. It was very quiet on a hot July weekend, but at least 10 degrees cooler than outside the park, Fall would be lovely. Bring bug spray for skeeters, stay up to watch the fireflies dance. Close to many amenities in a residential area and such a cute park with playgrounds and softball and more! Bathhouse was basic but clean, ADA accessible, and in good condition.
Great beginner dry camping locations have a bathhouse and restrooms. Only few camping spots, so reserve in advance.
The best for solo camping. Felt safe.
