This is a campground. We stopped here for 2 days and spent 8 days. We loved the location. Lots of drives in the mountains. You have an awesome view of Spainish Peaks. The town has some small shops and 1 restaurant. But there are other towns around. Wait till you see my photos, this place is so cute. A firepit spot, two has grills a pathway around the outside of the campground. The dog park is great too. And there are plenty of doggie bags.
This was a great spot to camp. Spaced out area, clean, big trees, and tucked away in a small neighborhood. Other campers were very friendly and respectful. Facilities were extremely clean. Big thumbs up.
Wonderful clean spots! Good, clean dog park A few blocks from town, you can walk it or bike it. Nice game room, laundry and showers. We look forward to coming back. Staff was amazing! Jennifer was a jewel!
We RV Champions were very accommodating. RV spots had plenty of room to park. Super clean and the staff were always working to keep it that way. Our pups loved the doggy park. Beautiful views and a lovely creek running beside it. We would definitely recommend a visit here!
We LOVED our week here! We were booked in Site #31 but when we arrived my husband spotted Site #1 and asked if we could change to that site. The hosts were very accommodating and moved us to #1. It was such a beautiful site next to the river, under the shade of big trees and had a huge grassy area looking out to the mountains. We just absolutely loved it. So quiet and picturesque. RV park itself is clean and well maintained - the owners clearly take pride in their property. A short walk into town. La Veta is such a lovely town and lots to see in the surrounding area. I hope La Veta has won some kind of “cutest town in the USA” award because it deserves to it. Charlie’s market is a classic centerpiece with an old fashioned milk and sandwich bar. Deer wander through town and there is a brewery, excellent Italian restaurant and several art galleries and gift shops. Such a relaxing week. Thanks for having us RV Champions of La Veta!
