Camped here and it was so nice and really enjoyed the lake and area. Lake is nice to swim in and also was a beautiful lake to bring my paddle board. There is a boat launch also and hiking trails which we didn’t get to but maybe next year
Gorgeous and comfortable campsite. Beautiful lake full of bass and trout. Several piers for fishing and boats nearby. A no wake lake so calm and beautifully wooded. A nice sidewalk next to the lake for taking walks and located right next to Whitecap Skye Golf Course.
Beautiful lake and surrounding area. Bathrooms are well kept and are one-person. Seems like it would make for great fishing, or a beach day. However, for tent camping, it didn't quite work. All electric sites are gravel compacted to the point there's no way a stake is going in. The only non-gravel sites are small lakeside lots with no electric and little cover/privacy. My biggest beef, though are the showers. Though large and clean, not only are they coin showers (which was not shown on any of the info I looked at for the grounds), they are expensive ($0.50 for 3 minutes) AND they are push showers lasting about 10 seconds a push. To have them be both is ridiculous, period, in my opinion, but definitely for how much the sites cost. My last issue is that there was no camp host the entire time I was there. Which wouldn't be an issue, except their offices are closed Fri-Sun, which left no one to talk to about my site issue or changing my reservation to leave early. I didn't hear back until the same morning I had to leave.
Nice slow no wake lake. New and clean bathroom with showers. Several hiking trails. No beach, but great lake access. Boat launch is paved with a pier. Lost 1.5 stars for advertising ATV access to trail 6, nothing in the rules about restricting atv’s and nothing on the campground map about restricting atv’s, yet roughly half the sites have no ATV signs at the posts. Lost another star because the gravel is really loose to the point I couldn’t get my camper level and grassy areas were excessively soft/muddy. Lost the last 0.5 star because you need to press a button in the shower every 3 seconds to keep the water on.
Coin operated showers. Small campground, just fine for a nights stay. Site 5 is a walking only.
