Customer Reviews
Was $25 for a beach camp spot last night. I had called this place at least three times over the last month & never received a call back; very disappointing! I arrived after dark & the sign said "Stop & Pay" but there was no one around & no instructions as to cost or how to pay, & I wasn't even sure where the campsites were. I knocked on the door of a nearby RV & a lovely woman named Sparkle told me to go ahead & camp on the beach & the manager would be around for the money at first light. She also gave me the code for the bathroom. I was the only one there; can't imagine how the 2 stall/1 shower bathroom works out when all spots are filled! The toilets were clean but the shower stall is a disaster - you couldn't pay me to shower in there! Also the water in the sink barely ran. I like that it had a power hand dryer rather than paper towels. At 9 this AM, I was all packed up & ready to go & no one had come to get the money. I was going to go knock on the door of the place Sparkle said was the managers, then I saw a guy walking around with a cup of coffee & asked if he was the one I should pay. He introduced himself as Wade - very nice guy, as other reviews have said. If I wasn't an honest person, I could have driven right out without paying! All in all, it was passable (except for that shower!), but certainly not great.
We chanced upon this place when looking for a convenient lakeside camping site. Being it our first time ever going to this town, we were so glad we did! The reviews are true about Wade being very hospitable and accommodating. The people staying there were equally friendly and helpful as well. One of his long-term campers, Mike, even makes coffee for everyone in the mornings! Just amazing. About the location. The price is very affordable with working bathroom and showers. It is literally by the lake so if you have kids, they'll love swimming there. The place is a bit dusty with lots of cars driving in and out so best be prepared for this. The boats can also be very loud during the day. We were told that it is indeed a Hot Rod place. So, if these would bother you, well, better stay elsewhere. If not, and you like a family-like, safe atmosphere, you should stay here.
We went there for a weekend. Wade was so welcoming and helpful! He really cares about his guests and that you are comfortable and happy. The facilities were perfect. Love the clubhouse! I can’t wait to go back.

This is our spot for sure, the treat you like family in this place, We love coming back here, weekend paradise is the place to be, it is so much fun, if you are looking for a place where you can feel safe and welcome you newd to visit weekend Paradise! MR. WADE rocks. He is the best host!!
