The campground emphasizes its RV-friendly nature, offering "full hookup with electric/water/sewer connections" at each of its 112 sites, spread over 16 acres of "professionally landscaped grounds." This inclusion of planned activities, often featuring "campground holiday parties with live music," adds a social dimension to the camping experience, fostering a sense of community among visitors and seasonal residents.
While the goal is to provide a comprehensive and enjoyable experience, it's important for prospective visitors to consider all aspects. One review noted discrepancies between advertised features and actual availability, specifically regarding playgrounds and the condition of some amenities like tetherball and horseshoe pits, and the nature of the "hot shower house" and "out houses with no running water." This highlights the importance of clarifying specific amenity details upon reservation. However, other reviews praise the friendly atmosphere, with one saying, "We like Welcome woods, people are friendly." This indicates that despite potential issues with certain facilities, the community spirit and pleasant interactions with fellow campers remain a strong positive.

Wel, well, where do I start, the campground is beautifully wooded like their add says, but everything else, well no!!!!! It says multiple playgrounds, we found none, the tether ball had no ball, the horseshoe pits were grown up with weeds, the hot shower house, well you will see the picture of it and funny but they didn’t mention bathrooms in their add, because they are legit out houses with no running water!!!!! They didn’t bother to tell us that when we reserved our spots, I am including some pictures, so you be the judge, we will never stay there again
We like Welcome woods, people are friendly. We have a new puppy and she barked alot while we were gone, sorry, now we know she barks alot and will turn the air on and close up or take het with us. Nice campground though! Going to have good intertainment on Memorial day and 4th.
Thank God for Ed... This guy actually cares about this place. It has its issues being an older camp ground but the mature landscape is worth it, we had 2 big problems right off the get go. Ed however solved these both within an hour. Very nice and Friendly. I do hope that the owners listen to him because with some changes this place can go from a really nice wooded campground to the BEST in the area by FAR. Thanks Ed we love our new spot and everything works nicely.
We had a spot there this year, (2016) and really enjoyed it. Having a newer camper with most amenities, helped, but the difference came from the created sense of community and Ed the caretaker/ manager. The rates are fair, the lots are good sized, and Ed is truly a great guy that works very hard at keeping the place nice!
We stayed here for a weekend last summer and it was really nice. They have a new playset they've built and a basketball court. The owners are reall nice and it's nice and quiet with friendly people. They also had a night with a free band and pizza. It's a bit older and not alot for the kids to do or I would have done 5 stars. But we're planning on going back soon.
