Wonderful small campground near Aspen. Only 10 sites, first come, first served. Well maintained. Clean bathroom. No shower. Pump water. Some sites near road but still feel private and quiet despite road noise at times.

Stayed in sight #1. Some traffic noise during the day but never bothered us. #6 and #7 looked the best and are far from the road. 1 min walk to trailhead, 1 min drive to grottos day use. 15 min drive to Aspen. $25 per night and was full on a Monday night in June.

This Campground was quite nice. The sites were small but roomy enough. Picnic tables and bear boxes at every site. There was also garbage cans. It doesn't seem that the poop dungeons are cleaned very often. The smell was truly offensive. 4/5 would camp again.

The campground portion is typical National Forest fare and was just fine. My low-star rating comes from the very stinky restrooms, overfull trash bins, and most of all the high price. $29 for two people in a short on amenities campsite just a few feet off the highway is ridiculous.
