This is my favorite campground that I’ve ever been to spacious, beautiful scenery very knowledgeable staff. We got Lakeside spots and had been told to reserve them right as reservations opened in January. We did then I had to change my reservation and they were awesome. There was a change fee, but it was minimal and I got another Lakeside spot. That was incredible. you will not get lakeside spots late in the year for the summer, but they were campgrounds sites open everywhere and it’s easy walking distance to the lake obviously mentioned they have no electric hook up no showers and their toilets are very basic but the campgrounds are kept crystal clean the lake is clean. Awesome awesome campground.
An awesome place overall. If you can get there, you'll feel like you've come to paradise. 2-wheel drive is sufficient to get there, though cars need decent clearance. There is firewood and some basic supplies at the office (including fly traps, which are recommended.) Reservations required to camp. Campsite 1 is isolated but it can be windy. Pick the others if you want shelter from the wind. Check descriptions on the Web site; many sites can accommodate campers. The ducks and Canadian Geese kept my daughter entertained. (I'm sure the visiting dogs appreciated them, also!) We'll definitely come back.
This beautiful private lake and campgrounds is worth the cost to camp here. The beauty that surrounds this lake is unreal, every direction you turn is a beautiful landscape.
Unfortunately the recent comments are true. Stayed here last summer, great experience. This summer it was the opposite. Due to an issue/inconvenience staff informed our party when we arrived that he would reimburse us for one night of our stay (~$125). Had to follow up a week after the trip regarding the reimbursement, and was informed that they actually can’t reimburse us or issue a one night refund despite our poor experience. I would not recommend staying here. Support our public lands instead, or campgrounds with staff that are honest and treat their customers with care and respect.
Great campground, lakeside and hillside spots, big group sites and day use areas as well. The road to get in is washboarded so I’m not sure how some get big campers in here. Lots to do on the water and trails nearby, peaceful but just enough action going on to have fun. The only downside is hillside campers intrude on some lakeside spots to get access to the water that can be annoying.
