We go here every year for our Multi-county 4-H Camp with Lincoln County, Washington County, Nowata County, and Okfuskee County.
We have our yearly family reunion here and it’s always a great experience. The campground hasn’t changed much over the years but it is well kept and works well for our family’s needs! Pool is an awesome perk too.
Back in the late 60's and early 70's my family held reunions there year after year! My cousins and I still talk about the times we had there! Our parents didn't ever really worry about us, we were all together and believe it or not we were pretty good kids. That pool was the best pool any of us had ever seen. Going down the big wide staircase to even more stairs down under to the shower rooms, then reappearing on the other side ready for a swim. We also loved the diving boards, even the big one in the middle! We played all kinds of games going up into the water tower. And then we were rounded up for chow time in the big dining hall. Then, how lucky were we getting to sleep in castles!! This camp will always have a warm place in my heart, hope to take my granddaughter there sometime soon! Thank you Camp Wentz!
Really cool primitive cabins that look like mini castles. Next to the mt bike trail.
OMG! I remember we had a family reunion here over 40 years ago. It hasn't changed a whole lot. Loved the little cottages.
