West Beach Resort

Loved this beautiful beach side resort. It has everything you could possibly need. Stayed in the 2 Bedroom cabin at the very end. The sunset was unforgettable. Also felt very safe and comfortable here for our first time on Orcas Island. We will be back.

We stayed two nights and was the best experience. We went to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We used an SUV tent and the spot we got was perfect for it. The office faces the beach which makes it more approachable and encourages you to stay around. There's a hot tub, clean showers, and bathrooms. We will visit again but aim to get a cabin by the beach. Thank you to one of the staff members! I forgot his name but he made us feel welcome.

What a glorious way to spend a weekend. The cabins are perfect, you get your own stash of firewood, the shop has hard cider on tap plus anything else you might need. It's quiet and perfect

We paid in advance for our campsite with electricity and water for 14 days. Partway through we were told that our site had been booked by someone else and we had to move to a site without services due to a booking error. We didn’t want to move because we needed electricity for a medical device. They told us “accept it or leave” then sent us an email saying they cancelled our reservation without a refund. At the last minute they found a site we could have due to a cancellation. They charged us a surcharge for the move. In addition we had friends who rented a cabin from them and a mooring bouy for a sailboat. None of us will ever return. Not recommended!

Terrible experience.... We were there 9-9-2024 ... for 5 days ... When checking in we noticed a few hundred fruit flies in and around the bathroom.. by day 2 up to hundreds all over the cabin . We Emailed the resort 3 times , went to the front desk twice and were told matanence would come out ...they never did ..We couldn't even eat inside because the fruit flies would cover your plate in minutes, as they would cover you in the bathroom, having showers ect . At 400 a night absolutely ridiculous.. The cabin needs to be bomed and taken out of service as I explained to the office as nothing got done or even came out to talk to us or see the issue.. Was really a shitty deal.. Cabins were nice, besides that , no fans to use so they got really hot during the day & early evening, couldn't open front door because no screens on the or your place would be full of normal flies .. Showers are tiny ..tiny like you could not even bend over , stand straight up only .. 1 star for no follow up on 4 miserable days inside that unit ..6 A on the water . Shut it down until you get the fruit fly infestation under control, probably coming out of the drains .. Was nice being out on the beach ...
