Customer Reviews
Very nicely kept quiet campground. The raft and shuttle were awesome. We enjoyed our 4 hour float immensely. Site 49 seemed to have more dirt and less grass than other sites, but I’m assuming that’s from the foot traffic from the river front. People were very respectful so it was never an issue. The ice cream was a big bonus. My only negative was that we paid extra for a late checkout, 2 pm at 1:59 a worker came by to clean firepit, we told him go ahead we were just getting out as there was a storm the night before (tornado in Oneida co) and we were moving slow. He came back 3 minutes later with the owner. We were just getting into camper and that was a little off putting as we paid for late checkout and were without power, which made packing and loading, and determining our route home as some roads were flooded, more difficult, we were happy we paid for late checkout, because we couldn’t have made it out by 11. Overall it was a nice relaxing weekend. We would definitely go back.
Peaceful Riverfront Getaway - A Hidden Gem! I recently stayed at this small, quiet, and quaint family-run campground on the river, and it was exactly what I was hoping for. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the entire stay feel welcoming and relaxed. I stayed in one of the cabins, which was spotless and cozy. Its perfect for a comfortable and simple retreat. The restrooms were also very clean and well-maintained, with hot water that made mornings and evenings especially nice. The views of the river are beautiful and peaceful, adding to the laid-back atmosphere. It's a great place to unwind and take in nature. Another big plus is the location — just a short drive to Utica, so it's easy to enjoy the town or grab anything you might need. If you're looking for a low-key, friendly spot to relax by the water, this place is a great find. I'll definitely be back!
My son and I had a wonderful weekend. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Campsite was very well maintained with a great view of the West Canada Creek. Bathrooms were clean. General store had everything you could have needed plus more. This was a perfect place for our spur of the moment camping trip.
Loved our stay at West Canada Creek Campground!! The owners were so welcoming, as were the guests that have been coming back for years!! Such a wonderful camping atmosphere, surrounded by the the river. Will definitely be back!
The listing says “Rustic “. Well the cabin is definitely rustic! We were supposed to stay Saturday and Sunday night but after being outside all day Sunday for our event there was no way we could stay there with no heat with our 5 and 8 year old. I had to go pay $150 to stay in a hotel that had heat and free hot breakfast was a bonus. I told the lady when I handed in the key the issue of “Rustic” and she might as well have told me “ bless your heart you dummy “. It felt like a fake apology. Won’t stay at WCC again even with our camper.
