Wendy is an incredible host. Very welcoming atmosphere, clean cabin. Cabin had plugs for electronics, and the area near it has a campfire and a nice small BBQ. Running water in the back for cleaning dishes
I’ve been coming to Westlake Campground since 2020. I called and was greeted by an owner who truly cares about your experience. At the time, I just acquired a dated 5th wheel and wasn’t sure what worked or what didn’t. We arrived and haven’t stopped coming since. The dated 5th wheel was upgraded to a larger 5th wheel and since then a motorhome. But although the equipment I bring and the length of time I stay changes (usually May until August) the one thing that stayed true was Wendy South’s (the owner) appreciation for every person who comes through her site. Putting in 12 to 14 hrs every day caring for her site and customers. Whether you’re passing through on a bike and tenting it, or a long term stay like a lot of us. You are treated like you are the most important person on her site. I will continue “glamping” here for a very long time. Thank you Wendy for your ongoing hospitality and friendship.
What a gem, the campground and people both! Literally from the minute we arrived we were treated like Royalty. Wendy and her staff assisted us in filling our freshwater tank then showed us to the dump station before setting up for our eight day stay. Our mega spot was nestled back into the woods and offered privacy and seclusion. There is abundant wildlife in and around the area. West Lake Park is only a 5 minute drive away, lots of wildlife around. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. So much that we plan on coming back in September as we return from Alaska. Every time we saw Wendy or her staff making the rounds checking on things we were always greeted on a first name basis with a sincere "everything going Okay?". Our 45' coach fit nicely with room to spare on the Site C "mega site" Kudos to Wendy and her staff for "doing it right" and making our stay here a pleasurable one.
