Great site! Spent an entire day kayaking on the lake which was beautiful and very easy to access with kayaks/boats. For a camp ground, I was also super impressed with the water pressure in the shower! - there is a bathroom building and the last “stall” is a shower so definitely bring shower shoes. Great amenities overall!

Very convenient but private campground. Well spaced sites. Flat and gravel with plenty of room to back in. Composite picnic cables in most sites and fire rings. Well cared for campground.

Literally cant fish or kayak due to very poor water conditions and random water drills they didn't tell us about until we got here. No refund or offer to another site, just...good luck you can travel 15 to 25 min to the next kayaking spot. For that I would have camped somewhere else. And all the fish are toxic and the water levels not safe for humans...so if you want to make a fire in the woods, I guess this is the place. Super basic , side of the road would be cheaper and better.

The sites were well spaced and well maintained. The fire pits had fairly large adjustable grills. Fire wood was available for purchase at the front of the campground for $5 a bundle (which was like 10 logs). The bathroom was kept clean and the showers were great for a campsite. There was a shelf and hooks to put your stuff in the stall, a shelf in the shower to hold your bathing products, there was plenty of hot water and the water pressure was nice. The trails around the lake were very easy to access, as was the nearby disc golf course. The hosts provided a map of the area's hiking trails and the breeze off the lake made for a very nice day of hiking. The hosts running the site were very helpful and friendly. They would make rounds occasionally to remind people of the weekly cornhole tournament. They also made a round to warn people of a tornado watch to make sure everyone would be safe. Overall an excellent campground that's very well maintained.

Unbelievable that anyone could say the fishing is not good! Just spent the day electrofishing with the uS ARMY Corps of Engineers biologist section and the fishery is HEALTHY! Bass? Yup Monster carp? Yup Pickerel? Yup Catfish? Yup Blue gills? Literally thousands Pumpkin seeds? Yes! And many more species that we found that demonstrated a VERY healthy and robust fishery! Come check this out people! Enjoy the scenery, the awesome and remarkably popular boat ramp, and the park rangers who can vector you in on the best spots to find fish!
