No one's here. How much better can it get? There are no amenities. Right on river levy with beautiful walking views of farmland, many species of birds, and small port towns around it. The road isn't perfect. Price is high for no hookups with a two night minimum. There is plenty of room for medium-sized RV.
We had a great experience. We stayed for 4 days. Site 2 has limited shade, but most of them are shaded well. Both camp hosts were extremely nice and they had a well behaved and happy dog that accompanied them. Another camper said the water was potable, I didn't clarify with the hosts, but the color was off, so we brought jugs of water. Bathrooms were as expected, flushing toilets, no mirrors, no showers, no complaints. Seemed as though they got power washed often enough cause they smelled very clean. It's really close to the water, no boat launch but within 10 mins of multiple launches. The view was incredibly beautiful from the docks at sunset.
Like Boondocking, this campground is out in the "Boonies". This is Dry Camping, no RV hookups. The grounds are well maintained. The Host Sue keeps a watchful eye throughout the campgrounds. She was very helpful. The gates are closed at night. Bathrooms in the Dayuse area well lit and clean. All RV sites are drive through. NO campfires. Awesome Fishing Pond with multi Piers.
Was supposed to stay for a full week here, but left thee days early! While this CG may work for some, it didn't work for me at all. I like to fish, and the fishing wasn't so good - didn't catch a thing. The other thing I like to do is hike with my dogs. Well, this CG is surrounded by private farmland, and as I was walking up the levee I was approached by someone who kicked me off the levee. The total distance I could walk my dogs was about 1/4 mile. Also, I forgot my 5 gallon water jug at home, and the water coming out of the CG pipes was greenish brown, but ironically had a very strong smell of chlorine. I have a fine particle water filter, but I didn't trust the water, or the water in the river. My 25' RV barely fit into a "pull through" spot, and I even had some tires on the grass, even though each site has a sign saying Don't Park On The Grass. If you go here, bring lots of water and a small vehicle. And lots of entertainment, because otherwise this has to be one of the most boring CG's I've ever visited.
Been going here on and off my entire life. I love going. It's easy, comfortable and holds a lot of great memories for me.
