I've always given this place 5 stars I used to stay all of June July and August as a kid I remember when they had pools and dances and barn for. My dad would go to work from there everyday. I miss those days. Now that I'm 32 I'm looking forward to going and some quiet time. There are not many adult based campgrounds. I love it! Sounds awesome.

My boyfriend and I found this campground out of pure luck. We wanted a nice place to get away on the weekends but close to home. The staff is always super nice. The campground is well maintained and the showers are hot and have good pressure. Theres usually not a ton of kids which is nice. The campground is quiet usually and very friendly. Weve gone maybe 3-5 times this summer and were going again this weekend before it gets too cold.

I want all family's to be aware of Discrimination against families with children... My family and I were wrongly discriminated by Westport Camping Grounds due to the fact that we have children. I made reservations to stay here for a month with my family and when my husband went down to pay was told by the owner we could not stay there. I called and spoke with him and he gave me every excuse in the book...First he said that it would get to cold to camp with children in a tent and that though kids can stay it's more of an adult park and if they get bored he doesn't want them screaming around other people. Then he told me well if you buy a pop up then you can stay. Lastly he then tells me because we have no car that Westport by-law states you can't camp without a car. I checked in with the Westport town hall and there is no such by-law in Westport. I will be reporting this to the better business bureau. I will also be posting on all social media about how wrongly we were treated. I loved camping as a kid with my family and my husband and I love nature...We were really looking forward to spending this summer camping with our girls to share with them how rewarding and peaceful it is to get back to nature as god intended. I am beyond hurt with this situation and was even more dissapointed when we had to tell the kids no camping this year. It shouldn't matter how we camp tent or trailer and it should not matter how long we choose to camp as long as we follow the rules of the campground and pay the money to stay there.

Camp ground is not kid friendly! When we arrived with our family we were told that there was nothing for kids at their camp ground a(we didn't expect anything) and we were not to have loud parties (had no intention of doing so). We also had to pay $10 extra per child per night (extra $80) which was not stated any where on their website. When we asked why it was not on the website the staff member stated she doesn't deal with the website. My sister, who lives local had to pay $5 just to walk in to our camp site (not drive Bc only one car per camp site) so she could visits with us. Staff was rude and unaccommodating. It is clean and close to beaches but I would strongly NOT recommend this camp site.
