The campground is nice and clean. Far enough away from the main roads that it’s very quiet. Was able to back my 23 ft trailer into one of the spots. So there’s enough maneuver room. There are beautiful trails with many types of trees to see around the trail. Picnic tables were clean and well kept.
11/22/23 still open. Host is not there. No water. great places to stay When other campgrounds are closed. Temperature -3C to 10C. Humid and cloudy. Need thick down jacket and sleeping bag.
Spacious sites and nice facilities. Very remote and very fun.
Quiet campground, for the most part. Like any campground - if you have a loud neighbor.. your out of luck. No firewood for sale when we stayed, no camp host either (crazy!) Very large campground. Sort of outdated. Hiking loop around Beaver pond needs some light maintenance, there was no informative maps - though the trail had several markers. Many places overgrown. No excessive bees. Saw quite the wild life. Very quiet during the day. The Willow Lake county park down the street has ice for purchase. No cell service.
Great campsite! It's pretty off the beaten path and far from main roads, which is nice because it was very quiet. Cell phone service can be pretty spotty. The camp host was very nice and personable, and made sure I was aware of the bear activity in the area and the precautions associated with it. I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, cozy camping experience.
