Me and my wife went here for a honeymoon, they gave us a discount which now to think about it we see why.. when we got there everything was fine.. quiet environment, noone in the pool, the AC was working fine blowing cold air, mini fridges both worked nice and the shower ran perfectly. But when we were done swimming and just wanted to come in our room and relax, maybe watch some TV so we go looking for the remote and nearly didn't find it. When we found the remote the TV didn't even turn on,no picture or sound. At night the AC completely turned off and wouldn't turn back on it was so hot we ended up leaving in the middle of the night, and in our shower one of the handles was about to fall completely off,not to mention the toilet paper there was very rough and not soft. If your going to give discounts at least make the room enjoyable.

This is our favorite place to stay in the area. We have stayed in the hotel rooms & a cabin. Our accommodations are always perfectly clean, with comfortable beds and clean, private bathrooms. Everyone that works here is incredibly kind and accommodating. I feel like we can really relax here after a long trip.

Do NOT ever stay here. We has some trouble with our RV in a recent trip for a funeral (flat) and ended up having to stay here to sleep. We didn’t arrive until 4 AM, when the office was closed. I saw online that you could pay for a spot, but it was not allowing me to do it, so our plan was to go to the office the next morning. First thing the next morning with 5 sleepy kiddos, we heard a loud banging on our door. We were all in nighties and undies so we didn’t answer the door. The employee proceeded to bang loudly on the door until my husband got up to answer it. She blew second hand cigarette smoke into our motor home and proceeded to yell at us for not making a reservation. We explained that the online service was down and we didn’t arrive until 4 AM. I then went online again and it allowed me to pay for the spot, so I did and we proceeded to get ready to hit the road. We left the RV park only to be rushed and followed by the employee in her vehicle. We pulled over and she once again came up smoking. We asked her to please back up as we have a child with severe asthma, she proceeded to come forward blowing her cigarette smoke purposely at us and inside of our motor home once again demanding that we pay her, which I already had. At this point I exited and was quite upset demanding that she step back. She then said, ā€œI hope you and your children get in an accident and think about meā€. I followed her to her vehicle and proceeded to call the police while she attempted to run me over with her vehicle. $35 was the cost of this spot. Stay anywhere else.

Booked a room through Expedia and was not the room promised through Expedia. There are four grown people in my family and two full size beds weren’t going to be enough. While this isn’t whispering creeks fault I wanted it to become public knowledge that someone else’s room was offered to me as an alternative. Not having the room promised doesn’t mean (at least to me) putting someone else out possibly. I will from now on be calling directly to book rooms and make sure my room isn’t given away. We come once a year for a family reunion and stay 1-2 days. Room was clean Air conditioner was running on fumes and there isn’t enough power wired throughout cabin. You have to use one outlet at a time. Beds were bunk beds and top bunk clearance is 2-3 feet to ceiling on your back. ā€œStepsā€ to top bunk are man made and poorly made. Beds were ok at best you get one flat pillow and one hard pillow. Towels and washcloths provided were nice No rug outside shower so be careful. Door lock to bathroom pinches Sink clogs up so be patient and wait for water to drain Poolside which is nice 10-15 minutes from our reunion grounds Breakfast included Reasonably priced

Ended up staying at a cabin here last month, at the last minute, after cancelling a reservation in Forest Hill, LA, taking a more scenic route to Ardmore, OK.
