My family loves camping here. The campground is family oriented and has plenty of things to do to keep the kids busy. They do a great job planning activities and bands for the weekends. We are looking forward to booking our stay for the next camping season.
Nice size park. Pictures on the website are older. There’s no more shuffle board or horse shoes. For the size of the park, one pool is not enough. The bathrooms are not clean as advertised. There were two stalls, because one was padlocked for the park. No urinals. This bathroom was for a lot of sites plus the pool and rec center. The snack bar is only open Friday night and Saturday. No vending machines either. The club house needs to be cleaned. The miniature golf course had rocks and sticks at every hole. Not blown off all week. Store closes at 5:00 week days and 7:00 weekends. Wood is $9 a bundle and burns fast. Very soft wood. No hard included. I did watch them clean sites around me, after someone left. All they did was clean out the fire pit. Didn’t even walk the site for garbage or screws/nails. Lots are not level. My front on my class c were 11” out. I could not get it that high. It is a quiet park. So I could relax at my site. Only drawback was I was on a buddy site. My neighbor faced me and our fire pits were back to back. I don’t why this wasn’t mentioned or described as such on the map. A lot of seasonal campers were dirty and moldy. Not nice to look at for a week. Only one spot for garbage and it’s a far walk. No fish were caught by anyone while I was there. The two rowboats they offered were not safe looking. One was filled with water and the other had one paddle. Sorry it’s a long review. Just writing what we saw. They need to put some money back into the park. My guest was charged $10 to stay two hours.
Whispering Pines is a very nice campground. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a nice spot tucked away near the woods. Very peaceful and quiet. The only thing we would say is that it could definitely use some upgrades. Also for anyone handicapped, it is really not very accessible.
Such an amazing time at whispering pines campground! The pool and splash pad were amazing, the fishing lake was a great time for the kids and the people are all so welcoming and extremely friendly. Only down side is they don’t allow fireworks but that could also be a positive for others so we understand that part of the business. We are highly thinking about jumping on the waiting list for seasonal. Highly recommend this campground especially for the kids.
Being coming here 20 years. Came as a kid with my family not as an adult. Sad they don’t allow tents but people suck now adays. One of the lady’s from the store remembered us years later great people that work there.
