Whispering Pines RV Park Introduce

Welcome to Whispering Pines RV Park, a part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, located at 101 Wapati Rd, Elk River, ID 83827. This RV park caters specifically to recreational vehicles and is situated in a location that offers access to various outdoor activities.

The environment surrounding Whispering Pines RV Park in Elk River is described as an "awesome location" with opportunities for fishing, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and quad riding all nearby. While the campground itself is noted as being relatively small with one row of sites, and the spaces are tighter compared to Forest Service spots, the atmosphere is appreciated by visitors. It is also mentioned that the area is popular with ATV riders. The park is considered somewhat remote, suggesting a quieter setting away from major urban areas.

In terms of services and features, Whispering Pines RV Park offers full hookups for RVs, which is a significant advantage for many travelers. However, it is important to note that there are no on-site bathroom amenities available for campers. While a laundry room is mentioned, its location was unclear to one reviewer. For those needing internet access, Wi-Fi is not available at the park itself, but intermittent coverage might be found at the local library. The camp hosts are reported to be very nice and can be contacted by knocking on their RV for assistance. Nearby, within a short walk, are a General Store and the Log Lodge restaurant, which was reported to have great food and service, including notable huckleberry ice cream and pancakes. However, another report indicated the lodge might not be serving full meals anymore and had a for sale sign.

Based on reviews, Whispering Pines RV Park appears to be best suited for RV travelers who appreciate full hookups and a location with access to outdoor recreation. While it might not be ideal for short stays or those requiring on-site restrooms or Wi-Fi, the price for the full hookups and the friendly hosts are seen as positives. It is advisable to contact Whispering Pines RV Park directly at (208) 791-4327 or +1 208-791-4327 for the most current information regarding site availability, pricing, and any specific features or policies.

This was ok for a quick stay but all but a few sites appeared to be long term. We were the only ones coming in for a quick trip. There is no wifi, no bathrooms and if you need something, you just go knock on the door of the camp host's RV. If you need wifi, you can go to the library and maybe get intermittent coverage. We couldn't get any wifi at the lodge. The campground is small with one row. All the pull thru sites looked like long term and the back in sites were right and short. Because no one was coming in for the site next to us, they did we could park our truck there. I know it says there is a laundry room but I have no idea where it was. The lodge has a for sale sign in the window and we are told by a lady who lives in town that they weren't serving food anymore. The lodge only had huckleberry ice cream so you had to go to the ice cream and coffee shop across the street. It really is pretty remote so you need to be coming for a specific reason. There are a lot of ATV riders in the area. The camp hosts were very nice.

Awesome location! Full hookups! Spaces are tight compared to Forest Service spots but the atmosphere and full hookups for a great price made up for it. The hosts at the Campground were great! Only good for RVs as there are no bathroom amenities on site. The General Store and the Log Lodge restaurant were just a quick walk and both had great food and service. The Huckleberry Ice-cream and pancakes were to die for. Great fishing, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and quad riding all right there. We will be back!

This is a fantastic campground on the weekends. During the week, you have logging trucks on the main roads, using compression breaks. Not their fault. The campsites, bathrooms, water stations, and lake are very clean and well maintained. It's a shame they have decided to allow small gas motors on the lake. Nice family camping.

We had so much fun at this place; our first visit but we will definitely be back! Super friendly people, great hosts, close to hiking and seconds away from the reservoir! Fun local restaurant and bar, and wonderful huckleberry ice cream to be had at the Elk River Lodge & General Store! What a treasure!

The only reason I give this review 2 stars - is because the teenage boy that checked us in was very nice and the room was clean - other than that 0 stars. We reserved through Whispering Pines a room with two double beds - the double beds would have been fine for us and I did inform them I was bringing my two dogs and asked if I should be concerned or know anything. I did not receive an answer so assumed this wouldn't be a problem - once they close their store, you must access the room from the back of the building, through a door that is "always" unlocked via a very steep, long stairway - ok, we carried our 14.5 year old goldendoodle and luggage up the steep stairs and tried to settle in. #7 - the room with two double beds is basically a closet - there is no air conditioning or window to get any air flow. No fan. My husband and I realized there was no way we could leave our dogs in that room while we attended the wedding that we came to town for the next day. We couldn't breath in the room, much less leave our dogs in there to attend the wedding. We got back into our air conditioned car and tried to figure out what to do. We called - the manager wouldn't get on the phone and made the nice teenage boy inform us there was "no way" to give us a refund on the room - even for the second night that was booked. So we drove the 3 hours back home and missed my nephews wedding. (there were no others rooms anywhere close at this point) - Very disappointed in the way we were treated and expected to stay in a sauna - I am not sure how the stairs could even meet a fire code. Please ask many questions if you have to stay with this establishment or bring your tent - you would be safer.
