Customer Reviews
We were there during bike week 2024. You would think it would be loud. Nope, very quiet. Great view. Very nice people. Large dog park for your fur baby's to run. Bathrooms/ showers are very clean. Also , there is laundry on site. There is a pool too, but it was too cold for me, lol. It's not too far to go to get to places . Will be staying there again for sure
This place is a hidden gem. We have been here for the last month. Quiet place to hang out. Laundry space is clean. You can even have your propane filled, picked up and dropped off at your site. We will continue to use this as our TN base.
Husband and I stayed there for the last several months due to a work contract. It didn't take long for the place to feel like home. The views are beautiful, the campground is well-kept, the bathhouse and laundry house is clean and spacious, and the walking trails and river are wonderful. But the best part was the wonderful staff and the fellow RV'ers that made the place so great. I will always recommend this campground to anyone looking to stay in the Smokies, whether its for a weekend or months long. You are also secluded and have access to a peaceful town 15 minutes in one direction, Townsend... and then access to other amenities and shopping in the other direction, Maryville. We will certainly be back :-)
We recently stayed at Whispering River Resort in Walland, TN from July 21 to August 11, 2024, and it was a truly peaceful and relaxing experience. The resort is nestled in the picturesque Great Smoky Mountains, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. Upon arrival the office was closed as they close early on Sundays, but when we met the staff they were friendly and gave us information about the park. We were in site E-8, a spacious gravel pull-in with full hook-ups, a picnic table, fire ring, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The site was long enough to fit our 5th wheel, with our car behind it at an angle, and wide enough to park our truck to the front right next to our 5th wheel. This was our first time at a pull-in site, so it was a little different when it came to parking and maneuvering in the spot to un-hitch and hitch-up. The campground was clean, peaceful, and well-equipped with amenities like bathhouses, laundry facilities, a general store for essentials, a pool, a gym, and a playground. The park is dog-friendly, and while there are no enclosed areas, there are plenty of grassy spaces for your pets to enjoy and explore. We also appreciated the convenience of the office accepting packages, which could be easily picked up in the room adjacent to the main office. One of the highlights of the resort is its convenient proximity to a variety of nearby attractions. It’s a short drive to Townsend and the entrance to the Smokies, so we were able to enjoy scenic drives, hiking, and exploring nearby towns. We also spent time in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, visiting some of the popular tourist attractions. If you are looking to stay in the Walland area, I would recommend checking this resort out. The staff is friendly, the views are amazing, and the location is perfect for nearby attractions!
Beautiful clean campground. The sites are all large, clean and very nice bath houses, great views and nice clean areas where you can walk. The owners/management are very nice and accomidating. I would definitely recommend this lovely campground.
