I have been camping for 40 years. We are finishing season 2 here at Whits End. We love camping at Whits End. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We don’t use the pool but it is well maintained. The grounds are always very clean. We love our river trips from the beaches. I can’t think of anything that I would consider negative at all. I highly recommend trying this campground. I think you will be impressed.
The river sites are gorgeous and spacious. The staff ate friendly and the camp store is reasonably priced. It was a beautiful stay. The only thing I could mention is the playground could use some updating.
Great during spring and summer. Dead after summer. In September, the pool was closed. The weather was still in the 80's.
The environment/owner was pretty hostile. myself and my five year old daughter were taking a walk around the park when an older man and his wife I assume (he told me he was the owner of the campground) were pulling up to a camping spot repeatedly honked his horn at us, then said "I'm backing in" we weren't aware he was talking to us (we where about 20 feet away from his truck) we continued walking on the path as we had the right of way. He then proceeded to scream out the window, STOP!! IM BACKING IN while laying on his horn terrifying my daughter , who immediately started crying wanting to turn around and go back to our camp site. Extremely inconsiderate, first time I've ever come here and will for sure be the last time I come here. If I could give it a negative rating I happily would. Dont make the same mistake I did. Find a better campground to spend your money at.
We had an amazing week. Made to feel very welcome. The kids were able to play and run around all day the husband and I were able to chill out next to the fire with drinks at night. And the infamous green truck that everybody keeps talking about was driving around and it made me feel more comfortable knowing that someone was watching and paying attention. It was reassuring to know that staff was readily available always around to make sure we had a great family experience!
