This was not a place I’d recommend to anyone. There was trash everywhere (though hardly any guests). No one was in the office to check me in when I arrived and the guy I spoke to on the phone seemed to have no idea what was going on even though I had a reservation. The sites are badly maintained and hard to get into. We’ve been RVing for going on 40 years and we know how to back into a site. But there was trash and random fire pits scattered across the center of it. And the trees were so overgrown it felt like backing into a horror movie set. On top of that, The electrical was a 20amp service pretending to be a 30amp. Terrible. Do not go here.
Now that I've left and don't fear for my safety I can safely post that this is THE WORST campground I have EVER stayed at and they charge 3xs more than any other place I've stayed at and I camp at least 4 to 5 times in the summer for week long stays! To start we should have known by the fact that we were in town for a huge festival at the Franklin County Fairgrounds. Thousands were there and a ton of them were camping but this place was empty aside from the few people living there. We were literally the only people staying there. They put us on the very 1st site right near the office which was a building falling down with a green pool next to it. There was trash everywhere including on our site. Just disgusting! Then I went into the extremely dirty bathroom and one toilet had feces in it and the sink was covered in dirt and dead bugs. The trash was overflowing and obviously hadn't been empty in who knows how long. They said we could have a fire but that would cost extra, thankfully we were at the fairgrounds all day until late at night so we didn't bother having one. The site was so full of trash and rotting food that when we returned to the site the first night we came back to find a hole torn in our popup screen and animal feces all over the place inside. Animals were obviously familiar with the fact that food was present, we took all food with us in the car mind you, so permanent damage to our camper caused by negligent maintenence to the campground sites. We went to throw our trash in the dumpster and the smell was just putrid since it was also overflowing and didn't look to be emptied for at least a month. The only plus there was electric and water on the site but I have stayed places that have that for $17 a night and are immaculately maintained Please avoid this place at ALL COST!! Will never ever stay here again.
Away from town. Campground is a diamond in the rough. Campsites in woods great for bumper pull or tents. Larger campers better in big open field. If some low hanging branches were cut you can get further into Campground with larger campers. Owner is friendly. No sewer but has dump station. Pool was being opened.
Terrible place dirty water is always out dead standing pine mold in bathrooms drug addicts running then place for the management. Never any toilet paper or hand soap. The list goes on this is a terrible place to stay and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone
We stayed at White Birch for the weekend of Aug 19. We were there for the D2R2 event, which was only 4 miles away via bicycle. The checkin on the same date was very pleasant. Tara then gave us our site, which was nice for us. And our stay was very short and nice. The only issue we had was that we did get to enjoy the pool due to time since we had a 5 hour commute. I would definitely stay again in one of the deep wooded sites for tents.
