We reserved a spot in October, and the view was magnificent. We were on the front road site, and it was wonderful; the camping was quiet. Unfortunately, we couldn't swim or go paddle boarding due to the cold temperature. The staff members and owner were friendly and helpful. See you next summer!!:)

My husband and I like to try different campgrounds to check out areas. This was our 1st visit to White Caps Campground. Located on Southern end of Lake Willoughby in Westmore Vermont. We went in mid-September and there was already some color in the hills. The campground is on the smaller side. We had a site looking at the lake. It was beautiful. The site was clean, well maintained and easy to park our camper. They really pack in the sites in this part of the campground. We have a slide and the camer next to us also had slide. With both extended, there was only a narrow walkway. The store is also a Deli and makes great sandwiches and breakfast. They rent water craft (canoe, kayak, paddleboard, and double kayak) so you can enjoy the lake. Across the street is the lake, hiking trails, and a small beach area. We took a drive to Newport, VT so we bike on Kingdom Trails (mountain bike trails but varying levels of difficulty). Great recreation area! The scenery is stunning and the staff is great! Overall worth the trip to get there!

Pretty neet camping place with a nice hike and gorgeous view however other camper are very close and showers cost 8 quarters for 5 min, you have to exchange cash for these quartes since they don’t acept accept visa if you don’t buy anything . Our shower Stoped working after 5 Min and wouldn’t accept more Quarters, we Finished washing in the fauset. Our dining table was on a hill and you have to use temporary exterior bathrooms.

Our summer isn't complete without our annual trip to white caps, the owners are always so accommodating, whether is just stopping by to say hello or seeing you trying to get into the store 30 minutes after close because you need ice and they don't bat an eye to help you out. We usually tent camp, but finally got a camper and experienced a whole other side of the campground and love it even more!

Unfortunately, I am unable to review much of this campground as I have never stayed there... however... I can speak to their customer service which I found to be lacking, callous, and unempathetic. Recently, unfortunately, my three year old son had to have an emergency hospital stay. When we realized three days out from our reservation that we were going to be unable to make it I gave them a call to give them a heads up and ask if we were able to reschedule. Even knowing the current circumstance the person on the other end of the phone seemed troublingly aloof and almost annoyed that I had reached out. It turns out their policy is that two weeks notice is required for rescheduling purposes which is fine and I get. If it were my business, would I cut the gut with the toddler in the hospital a break? Yes, I would. Is this that kind of place? Evidently not. No qualms with that, everyone is entitled to run their place however they want to. I just wish I was handled with a little more kindness.
