White Lake Private Resort

My (now) husband and I had our wedding at White Lake Private Resort this past September, and we truly could not have better things to say about our experience! We got so many compliments from our guests about the beauty of the site (it's gorgeous!), the delicious food prepared by Dan and Penny (the wonderful owners), and the variety of fun things to do and ways to connect with each other. It felt like the most amazing cottage weekend with everyone we loved! We booked the site for the entire weekend and took advantage of the wedding package, which includes accommodations for everyone (we had 50 guests, and there was room for 40 of them in the cabins on site, while some others were happy to camp on the grounds), food and food service on the wedding day (the most delicious BBQ meal, with ribs and veggie options, our guests were full and happy), large white tent set-up (comfortably big enough for all our guests for dinner), chair rental for the ceremony, equipment / speaker setup for speeches and music (though our DJ brought her own for ultimate bass), and access to some of the decor items they have on-site (though we also brought many of our own - I had a vision in mind lol). For an extra fee, Dan even purchased and set off fireworks from the lake as a surprise for our guests - it was a definite hit! The cabins are rustic, though that's part of their charm, and folks were pleased with their accommodations and the unbeatable views of the lake. Our guests have kept telling us how their favorite thing about the weekend was how many activities there were to do, including chilling on the dock, swimming in the pool or the lake, enjoying the hot tub and sauna, kayaking, and catching up around the fire pit. The vibe was cozy, warm, and relaxed - exactly what we wanted. White Lake is a family-owned business and you can see how Dan, Penny, and their kids put their heart and soul into it. Dan was personable, easy-going, and had a great sense of humor, and they gave us a lot of freedom to realize our dream for our wedding. Dan is more easily reached by phone than by email - he'll answer the phone right away in my experience, or will get back to me within the hour, though he might be slower to answer an email. If he didn't reply after a little wait, just sending a reminder or giving him a call worked well. All in all, I could not have imagined a more perfect spot for our wedding. It hit all the right notes for us, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a cozy cottage-feel to their wedding. Thanks again, hopefully we can return soon!

Our group of 7 families stayed here for 3 years in a row and we absolutely loved it! White lake was our escape from reality. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, days on the water and fun on the dock! The communal kitchen and dining area were perfect for our group. Dan was a superb host, always available and very helpful (ask him to start one of your camp fires :) We loved our home away from home, we have so many beautiful pictures and memories. Thanks for everything Dan, we hope to see you again!

We had an amazing stay at WLPR. Dan was very helpful leading up to our stay, answering all our questions quickly. The place was perfect for our group of friends and family, with stuff to do for all ages, from young to old!! Everyone was so happy, no one wanted to leave 🥰 The facilities were great - lots of space, the pool was a great plus for the younger kids, and everyone had a blast swimming in the gorgeous lake. What a peaceful, gorgeous neck of the woods. Hope to be back soon!!

What an INCREDIBLE place for our family reunion this summer. From the great reviews we already knew this place would be amazing! Dan is a lovely host and was super accommodating for our big family. He makes sure to give you a rundown of everything in the resort, including troubleshooting for any issues around the cottages. Don’t expect a 5 star tremblant resort, but the coziness and warmth of a rustic cottage home is exactly what this gives. Everything was clean and well prepped. I will say, if you’re not a fan of creepy crawlies then be prepared to knock down some spiderwebs but that’s normal for cottages in the forest. The kayaks and pontoon were great activities for all our family and getting a lakeside view when you wake up in the morning just made the entire place even better. There’s the main campfire in the middle of all the cottages and a second one further to the side of the resort near the water. Not to mention that the stars at nighttime are so beautiful you can just stargaze for hours. You can really tell that Dan is a family man and he’s always available to answer any questions or concerns. Definitely the most memorable cottage trip we’ve had and we’re absolutely going to be coming back!!

We rented White Lake Private Resort for our annual family weekend. It was the perfect spot for three generations of our growing family to get together. We were able to lodge 24 adults and 8 kids with room to spare. Dan is extremely accommodating to his guests’ specific needs and responds quickly and efficiently to any requests or questions. The pool and sauna area made our mid-October stay feel like an extension of summer. The rooms, kitchens and common areas were clean, warm and cozy when we got there, and as BBQ enthusiasts we were pleased to find many grilling options at our disposal. White Lake Private Resort is a great place to host large groups at an affordable price. We are sure to visit again!
