Very bare bones! The host was nowhere in sight. There was a sign advertising firewood but there was no firewood. There were latrines and there was a day where they had run out of toilet paper and were not replenished until the next day. No showers. They probably should install bear boxes. The campsites were pretty nice and shady. You can hear the road which doesn't bother me but you can also hear a stream from some sites which I liked. Campground was mostly empty mid-week in August. Would I stay here again? Possibly. But I'll make sure I have toilet paper and maybe some toilet seat covers as one of the days the latrines got pretty gross. Bring plenty of hand sanitizer or better yet, hand sanitizing wipes. Advice: We found a couple of roadside places near the campground selling firewood, but if you can't find that Market Basket sells firewood. Not a bad idea to buy some toilet paper while you're there.
This is a very convenient location to north conway NH. It’s very well run by the host however the condition of the entrance to this campground and its roads are a disgrace. We almost damaged our rig just entering the campground. This needs to be addressed by the management. The host has attempted to address this issue to no avail. We would not stay again until the asphalt was addressed. Such a shame. Beautiful location.
WAY TOO CLOSE TO THE ROAD White Ledge CG is a barebones primitive campground. Bathrooms are outhouses with no running water (except for spigots). The biggest issue is its proximity to Rt 16, which is a BUSY road. Cars are flying past you at full throttle. Semi-trailers are flooring it during the day AND night. My campsite was about 80ft from the road, and fortunately I had earplugs (which was barely enough) for sleeping. There were campsites which were literally 10ft from the road...with a full throttle semi-trailer roaring by them. Who designed this?? White Ledge is probably fine if you're able to snag a campsite as far back as possible. Otherwise, pay a few bucks more and get a private CG with actual amenities.
This is a well maintained campsite. They provide you with a picnic table and fire pit. There is a decent sized clearing you can play on. The bathrooms are vault toilets and very clean. John the host is very friendly and offers firewood for $8 a bundle. This camp is close to the Conway area and the Kancamagus. It’s right of route 16 so there is some traffic noise.
Nice campsite close to the town of North Conway. Bathrooms were well upkept and the campground was quiet for the night as we had a spot further away from the road. About 40 minutes away from AMC Pinkham Lodge where we went to hike up Mount Washington.
