Based on what Iām reading about prior reviews, it does seem like there has been some management changes and the new management is really good. We did have some issues, and the campsite tried their hardest to correct each issue. A+ effort from management. The campsite itself has some infrastructure issues and I hope that over time, things get better with better management. Just navigating with a medium sized camper can be a challenge. There is a lot of variability with the quality of the sites. One site may have a nice gravel bed, and the one next to it is muddy with tree roots that make it hard to utilize. One site will have a 30A with gray water, the next only a 15A with a gray water that you donāt find until the second day. This is also one of the loudest campsites Iāve been to. We had competing music coming from the surrounding sites, and one of the permanent residents didnāt seem to care that every time they put their golf cart into reverse it would let out a high-pitched scream, and he didnāt really seem interested in making sure it was in reverse for the shortest possible time. Although the sites are wooded, some sites back right up to each other. I wasnāt in a tent site, but I was camping in a tent. I had another tent about 10 feet from mine from another site. Overall, I think White Pines has a lot of potential. Hopefully this new management means that thing will be improving going forward. Itās not on my list of campsites I feel I need to return to, but Iāve certainly stayed at worse.
White pines campsites is a very nice place. The staff is friendly and always will try to help. If one staff member canāt help they will get another to help. As well, there maybe somethings that are not in their wheelhouse so they may not be able to help. It will not be from their trying. I wanted to tell you about one of your employees. Jacob, is like a ray of sunshine. He always waves and says hello with a big smile. If he can he will stop to ask how you are doing.
I can't say enough good things about White Pines!!! The grounds are beautiful. Staff is friendly and very helpful especially Marilyn, Brandon and Steve. The seasonal families are amazing. If you need a quick weekend getaway get to white pines.
Posting a review and rebuttal to the campgroundās reply to my husbandās post. We arrived on a sunny day( no rain, as you can see from my pictures- lie #1 from this facility). We are long time campers with a brand new rig- fully prepared for a weekend away (lie# 2- they stated we were unprepared!). As my husband skillfully wedged our camper into the site that was woefully inadequate for the size of our camper (he had provided full specs on it when making the reservation) we were upset to see that their electrical wires- attached to various trees, were too low and would drag across the roof. A helpful fellow camper found a pvc pole just laying around( no end to the junky debris to be found here!) and held up the wires- sadly there was no sign of any staff to aid us. The next issue arose when we realized that the electrical box is way at the front of the site- our 50 amp cable would not reach it unless the front of our camper was parked in the road. Finally someone came by from the staff and we waited while he dredged up an old 30 amp cable to piggyback onto our 50 amp one. At this point it became clear that this site was not going to work, so we called another campground for a last minute site. All was cordial with this staff member- I thanked him for trying, he apologized and we left. At no point was any attitude given by me or my husband to anyone there! We were still hoping to get our money back, so we left( the owner never appeared through all this). Let me say, and you can see by my pictures, this place is a dump. The seasonal sites looked like hoarding situations( the staff told us this was āthe best site in the parkā lol). My husband was driven through the rest of it by the owner when we got there- as an amusing note she had no idea where the site was! He said if I thought this site was bad you should see the rest of it- he said it was dirty and frankly scary. Anyway, needless to say- people that run businesses like this will never refund your money- theyād rather trash an honest customer who was just trying to enjoy the first weekend of the season. You have all been warned!
Arrived at 2:30 & no one was there for check-in. Check-in is supposed to be start 1 pm. Owner forgot about us & had to wait 45 minutes for site because equipment was still laying gravel down. The folks working were very nice & helpful. The picnic table fell apart when they tried to move it. Said we would get a welcome packet tomorrow but it never came. Never emailed us the code to get thru gate in & out of the park so had to wait each time. A standard site was supposed to have water & septic tie-in. The septic receptacle was too small & narrow for our standard tie-in that has worked all across America. The grounds worker suggested we use a garden hose???? For the price this site was not worth it. The place was packed with seasonal folks' campers but lucky for us no one was there yet as it was too early in the year. Only stayed 2 nights Sadly won't be back to this one but it was close for fly fishing the river.
Great place, We stayed in the deluxe cabin opening the 2025 Camping season. Amenities were great especially the shower! Staff was friendly and kind. They went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed. Lots of updates too. Can't wait to come here again!
Nice and clean place. Very welcoming! Lots a lot of activities for kids. Good food for purchase if you donāt feel like cooking. Loved it. Already planning our next stay!
beautiful place! Matthew was super nice and made sure everything I had planned went smoothly! Would recommend to my friends and family :)
