White Pines Inn & Suites of Holland

This hotel was very nice and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and the staff was very nice. The pool was awesome and everything smelled good. I highly recommend this hotel. It’s affordable but still offers a luxury feel. They have luggage carts too which make a world of difference when you have kids and lot of bags and toys. The soap and hygiene products were actually good quality compared to the cheap stuff most places offer. They also sell drinks and snacks at the front desk for those that want them and for a cheap price. Breakfast was great and we were just all very happy with our stay. We would definitely stay again if we come back to the area.

We booked a king room with jacuzzi for our anniversary, but were told at check in that it cane through as a double queen, despite us having email confirmation for the king room. We were told this happens when you book third party, which we did not, and that the king rooms were full so we took the room offered to us, at the same rate as a king room we had booked. The room was dingy, paint peeling, a hole in the drywall by the exterior door (which only opened from the inside even though there was a key reader on it), and the bed was uncomfortable. The second day of our stay we spoke with the GM who let us know we in fact did book directly, and switched us to the king room we had booked. This room, though nicer for sure, was filthy. There was pizza sauce all over the room including the bed linens, so they had obviously not been changed. There was hair in the tub and trash on the floor, hand prints all over the mirror. Unacceptable for any hotel room let alone for the $145 they were charging per night. When we brought all of this to the GMs attention (with pictures), she offered us a rate adjustment for the first night which was better than nothing, and then offered only an apology for the filthy room we had been moved to. We were looking forward to a relaxing few days for our anniversary and just got an over priced headache, save the money and stay at a motel 6 for the same experience. The rest of our trip to Holland was very nice, but I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Positive: We were in the area for 24 hours and it was cheap. Negatives: The location’s phone was not working the 2 days prior to my visit (I called corporate and they were friendly). Upon entering the room it has not been updated since maybe the 80’s? The room was pretty musty. Not a USB port in site. The toilet float valve was broke (I had to reach in and fix it). Checking out before 10am (Sunday) and the “breakfast” was packed up already. One of our son’s accidentally left a brand new set of pants and a shirt in the room and of course the staff “didn’t find it.” Overall spend the extra $ and stay elsewhere if in the area.

Be careful on your reservations through Choice Motels!!! Paid for a King suite for 2 nights in full a month prior to our stay. Upon arrival, the front desk manager stated that the room we paid for was not available due to the fact that the reservation came through as a double queen standard room (confirmation email clearly states king suite) the front desk manager then told me that I would be refunded 80 bucks off of my 255 night stay for the difference in room (I have not received 80 back yet). With little to no options for our needs, we took the double queen standard room for 175 bucks, So instead of making things right they gave us a double queen standard room at full price of the king suite. On the morning of the second night stay, they were out of breakfast items as well. The best part of the stay was the very nice man that checked us out. HE SHOULD be the manager of that "Inn". Excellent customer service and very apologetic for our inconvenience unlike the manager that checked us in! We will never stay or book through choice motels again. BEWARE of this hotel and the website they use for reservations! Also if you have any complaint like myself the motel, the Choice Motels website blames White Pines while White Pines blames the Choice Motel website. Kind of a stalemate.......you would think one night would be free for the inconvenience. But it is 2024 where the customer is no longer right about anything.....🤔

My family and I stayed here while I was working out of town. My company booked the hotel and to be honest I wasn't to excited to be at a "no name" hotel. Well I was proven wrong for sure. The staff at this hotel supersedes any staff at any hotel I've ever been to. The were all so cool! I believe the managers name was Preston and this man was never not working. He seems to set the standard for his employees and they are all fantastic. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
