A "small" but wonderful place with amazing sights. Enjoyed a relaxing evening there with my family. We swam around in it's little lake and I personally went on a trip amongst it's trails, which involved catching some beautiful sights of the park.
We were looking for a free place to picnic among the pines, and this was a gem! There are more than enough benches and the paths along the lake are beautiful. There is a playground, grills, and the bathrooms are surprisingly clean when most public parks are revolting. The park is great to relax, get together, or connect with the great outdoors.
We've always enjoyed our day trips to White Pines. There's a playground, sand volleyball court, workout area, small beach, picnic tables and a nice trail on the far side of the lake. We try to donate whenever we're there to help keep it up. Don't forget to pick up or pack your trash to keep this lovely place clean :) Enjoy!
a review from @amom2kidsandapark Our saving grace during the heat wave that just coincidently happened to land on the weekend we booked for camping. Make lemonade am I right? This lake is perfect for families! The water is shallow at the shore about 5 yards and isn’t choppy nor does it have big waves to knock over wobbly toddlers. The sand is more like beach sand than muddy lake sand I’ve seen at other lakes and perfect for sandcastles. The trees cover the beach area to give perfect shade. There are bathrooms near by and a parking lot too! There are picnic tables and bbqs on the beach and on the grassy area in the park. There’s even a playground and recreation courts! The playground has a swing set with both standard and bucket swings. The structure has three slides (long, short, and spiral), steps, ladders, climbing tunnel, a bottomless side less slide (ya know the just bar kind), educational activities, and climbing walls (both rocks and open holes). Nearby is a fitness area, basketball court, beach volleyball court, and pickle ball court. Everything at this park is free but it’s maintained by volunteers so there are donation boxes trickled all around. With this lake only being about 7 mins from our camp site, it was a simple adventure to add to our camping trip! We loved this place so much the first day we decided to stop over before driving home for a second day. (Significantly less busy on Sunday vs Saturday)
Very serene and peaceful place to visit outside of fishing season. Pretty clean for the most part. Nice spot to bring the kids for an afternoon of relaxation and a picnic.
