Kenny was so kind and helpful to us! You can buy firewood and hot showers. The campground was beautiful!! Peaceful place. Good prices! We plan to come back someday!
The campground was nice, plenty of space. Just not by our group :( BUT the kayak trip down the Upper Iowa River was amazing!! Bonus that you get out right at your campsite and don't have far to take your boat! Plus campground across the river has a bar AND river is shallow enough to walk across from one to the other.
Campground is very well kept and clean. But.. There was no running water. So no shower, also they charge extra for the shower and no drinking water. They did bring out water in containers for our group, but Saturday evening the water was gone. Just portapots for toilets. Some upgrades are needed.
Beautiful place to camp and go canoeing. The camp ground has portable potties. If you want to take a hot shower, it's 2 dollars. You can also buy firewoods and some basic camping needs. To camp, you need to make reservations in-advance.
Had a great view right on the river. Was excited to find out Bluffton puts on a fireworks show and they set up on the bridge. So we had a perfect view of the fireworks! I was disappointed they weren't running shuttling for tubes on the river for the season. But with the corona virus issue it's understandable. There's other private parties that will shuttle around. The river was nice and shallow for my son to play by the bank no problem! Also the portable bathrooms were cleaned every day which was a big plus!
