February 2025. Nice enough campground. Good location. But be aware that currently the water is shut off. We didn't realize this until after we paid. Pit toilets are grungy. Worst of all, IMO, there is no limit on generator use. We camped next to people who ran their generator for 15 hours straight, from 6 pm until 9 am. Couldn't sleep next to the racket. Only shut it down when I asked her to, then screamed and swore about it. We left. There is a campground host who does nothing about anything. Cannot recommend this place.
This is a great place to camp when you want to get out of town or visit the Prescott area. The camp is bigger than it looks. It's far enough away that you don't hear the nearby road, and the night sky is clearly visible. Yet, you're close enough to the amenities of downtown Prescott, such as a grocery store, restaurant, and entertainment. If you're new to camping or just taking out your new trailer or for a trial run, this spot is perfect. So if something goes wrong, like the stove doesn't work, you're not too far from a restaurant or grocery store.
We love this place. Close to town and easy to get in and out. There are several sites that we fit in as well which is a plus (we are 65ft overall with motorhome and trailer).
I'm not a big fan of pay to stay, non-dispersed camping, but I needed a spot to stay the night and had squandered all my daylight so I went online and paid for my spot and set up camp in the pitch dark. The website, though a little confusing at first was easy enough to get a spot reserved and paid for. The motorhome in the spot 2 sites away from me promptly shut off their generator at 10 pm and the place was quiet. And dark. Did I mention it was dark? The only reason I probably won't be back is my own preference for dispersed camping.
Cool, little campground. Stayed a night here before switching to a full hookup site. No hookups, but there are lots of fresh water spigot near sites. Pit toilets that were pretty nasty. Not well cleaned at all. Our site was nice. Clean and well guarded by trees. There is plenty of space. Pretty close to road traffic. No water access. This place will work for you if you need a night or two during a long trip.
