We loved this place and our dog loved it even more. Staff in visitor center were all very friendly too. Beautiful place. Well maintained. Bathrooms. Dog friendly. Went 3 days in a row it was so nice.
Beautiful beach! They have two sections. One that allows dogs and another that doesn’t. Nice walking and biking trails. If you are a frequent visitor to the area I recommend getting a state park pass. Also the sand makes a cool sound when you walk and shuffle your feet.
Made a visit during the off-season on a sunny weekday and we were the only people on the beach. Beautiful sand to play with, nice walking path with fabric for a cart, and a long beach with lots of access. No cell service, but that is expected in door county. Highly recommend an afternoon visit on a warm offseason day.
Really good spot for a day trip. It cost $14 for the day pass but it’s totally worth it. The trails are wide and very flat, we pulled our wagon with our kids with ease. There’s plenty of picnic tables and grills for cooking. They also have a nice beach with white soft sand. The water is very shallow so the kids were able to play in the water with no problem. They have a small outdoor changing rooms, bathrooms, and foot cleaning station. Recommend it for a day trip with small kids.
It's such a beautiful place! There are plenty of places to stop along the trail for photos. We are an older couple who love to hike, and parts of the trails were a little tricky. But we'll worth it!
