Good horse camp! Lots of PCT hikers coming thru camp and on trails. The North bound Met Win trail was blocked in 2021 with hundreds of downed trees that need to cleared which cuts out several nice trails unless you trailer out. South bound Met Win goes thru the Whitefish creek in the beginning and the entry into the creek on the camp side has a 2 ft drop into the water which is not ideal. I think the USFS is more concerned about protecting the creek bank from erosion because there was a natural entry point that was blocked by logs obviously put there to prevent horses from using it. This should be safer for horse and riders to negotiate and could be easily fixed! Most sites can fit two rigs and have water spigot close to each site. Two pit toilets, two garbage bins and one manure dump. Camp hosts are friendly and helpful.

The sites are nice, but the trails are extremely dusty. 1 or 2 horses you would be ok, but more than that, you can't breathe.
