Beyond local amenities, the KOA's location is a significant advantage for those looking to explore Montana's major attractions. It serves as an excellent basecamp for visiting Glacier National Park, often referred to as the "Crown of the Continent," with its majestic mountains, pristine lakes, and abundant wildlife. Access to the park is typically a manageable drive, allowing for day trips. Additionally, Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, is also within easy reach, offering opportunities for boating, fishing, and lakeside relaxation. The direct highway access makes maneuvering even large RVs to and from the campground relatively simple, though, as some reviews suggest, the internal roads within the park can be "tight" for very large rigs, necessitating careful driving.

- RV Sites: The campground provides numerous RV sites, which typically include full hookups (water, sewer, electric) for larger rigs, and often come with picnic tables and fire rings. While some reviews mention sites can be "tiny and on top of each other" for very large RVs, there are various site types available.
- Tent Sites: Dedicated tent camping areas are available for those who prefer a more traditional ground-level experience. These sites usually come with picnic tables and fire rings.
- Cabin Rentals: For campers seeking more comfort, the KOA offers a range of cabin accommodations, from basic Kamping Kabins to Deluxe Cabins with private bathrooms and kitchens, providing a "glamping" option.

- Swimming Pool: Most KOA Holiday locations, including this one, feature a swimming pool, offering a refreshing way to cool off and a fun activity for families, especially during the warmer months.
- Propane & Firewood: The campground offers convenient services like propane refills and firewood sales on-site. (Note: One review mentioned a "12$ organic firewood sign was put up as a joke but people buy it so they take the $" - this is an anecdotal claim from a user review and should be noted as such, not a factual statement about KOA policy).
- Dump Station: A dedicated dump station is available for RVs, providing a convenient facility for wastewater disposal.
- Wi-Fi and Cable TV: Many KOA locations offer Wi-Fi access and cable TV hookups at certain sites or common areas, though signal strength can vary.
- Recreational Activities: Beyond the pool, KOA Holiday campgrounds often provide various recreational options like playgrounds, outdoor games, and sometimes unique offerings like the "peddle carts" mentioned in a review.
Whitefish / Kalispell North KOA Holiday offers several features and highlights designed to appeal to a wide range of campers, especially families, looking for a convenient and amenity-rich basecamp in Northwest Montana:

While the "peddle carts" were a point of contention for one reviewer regarding safety/placement, they are clearly intended as a family-friendly feature.
- Variety of Site Types: The availability of RV sites (with full hookups), tent sites, and diverse cabin rentals means the campground can accommodate different preferences and budgets, from traditional campers to those seeking more comfortable "glamping" experiences.
- Clean Facilities: Despite varied individual experiences, the general expectation for a KOA is clean and well-maintained restrooms and showers, which contribute significantly to a comfortable stay.
- Convenience Services: On-site propane refills, firewood sales, and a dump station add a layer of convenience, minimizing the need to leave the campground for basic supplies.
- Proximity to Major Attractions: Its location makes it an ideal launchpad for exploring some of Montana's most iconic natural wonders, including Glacier National Park's stunning landscapes and Flathead Lake's recreational opportunities. This is a huge draw for visitors to the area.
- KOA Brand Consistency: For those familiar with the KOA brand, there's an expectation of a certain level of service and amenities, which can be a comforting factor for travelers.
It is important to acknowledge that some customer reviews highlighted concerns about tight spaces for large RVs, particularly at the entrance and within the park, and some issues with site quality or perceived lack of privacy. These points suggest that while the campground offers many features, campers with very large rigs should potentially verify site suitability upon booking or be prepared for tighter maneuvers.

Customer Reviews
They have these low to the ground peddle carts that young kids ride around the park . The pick up spot is at the entrance right next to the propane fill and right before the dump station and office on a relatively narrow entrance. The park is tight to begin with in our 5th wheel so let's throw in a bunch of 5 to 10 year olds to add to the stress. It really seems like a no brainer to stage these carts some other place then the entrance or just get rid of them , their a liability . On any given day out of the 7 we were there the entrance and other roads in the park are full of young ones on the road in these carts. Yes it's the parents responsibility but KOA has a responsibility also to keep the roads safe. This is a good example of one being ridden at the entrance right in front of a trailer at the dump station.D
We stayed here for 7 days. Booked online and that was a huge mistake! Most but not all of the employees were nice , this place isn’t made for large rv’s no matter what they say ! Worst sites we've ever seen, tiny and on top of each other , fire pits are a joke and zero privacy. .fences were old and rotten , decks and roads were bad . My 43’ fithwheel was put in a spot for a 25’ bumper pull ! And they argued with me when I told them this.. This place is old and not designed for today’s rv’s …one employee told me the 12$ organic firewood sign was put up as a joke but people buy it so they take the $ ! Very sad
Pretty resort in the pines, lots of free additions. Mini golf, frisbee gold, pool, game room, go carts were all fun. Nice laundry, clean restrooms.
The staff treated us like family❣️Tons of activities to do and all the guests were super friendly. I HIGHLY recommend staying here!!
The "free" kids aren't really free when they charge you $11 per kid per day. The adults only hot tub was not in order. The game room is just another way to get you to spend more money there. Several of them were out of order. The "free" hot breakfast is pretty good. The only downside is that it doesn't open until 8 am. In order to get to Glacier National Park at a reasonable time, you need to leave before 8 am. The pool does not have the proper lining at the bottom so it is very slippery at the bottom. My child fell as he was getting in and almost hit his head on the steps. Very dangerous. Overall this KOA needs a lot of work. The bathrooms have no dressing area so it's hard to keep your clothes clean and dry when you get out of the shower. They also have a hornet problem that they leave up to guests to solve. They sell you traps rather than handle the issue themselves. We could not sit outside at all because of them. Pros - proximity to the park.
