WhiteRock is easily the best trail location in central Iowa. 10/10 recommend for all things hiking, outdoors, and camping. The terrain and foliage are wildly different than most of the simple palette of other local areas as it has been maintained and carefully preserved for many different types of habitat. Trails and signage are extremely well-managed. I've stayed at multiple cabins and done tent camping at many sites. Couldn't recommend checking this place out more.

A beautiful outdoor space for hiking! Very well maintained and lots to see. We explored several trails including the Riverside Trail (beginner friendly) and Long Creek Trails (moderate - with many uphill and downhill areas as the path winds). Note that you’ll want to use the portable restrooms before you hop on the trail as there aren’t any along the paths.

What a great quiet place for a family getaway. Campground host was freindly and helpful. Found out about this place from a signing up for the Iowa Trail Run Seires. Will definitely come come back and check out the rest of the park. Running trails are great. Want to come back and rent a mountain bike or kayak. My only recommendation would be for a larger kids playground.

Great place to hike. Beautiful views and maintained trails. The camping spots looked good and not too crowded together. Only issues was that I got lost a few times. Some of the trails markers aren't very clear.

Over hyped. Worst singletrack I've ridden. And the fact you have to pay is just a slap in the face. On a holiday weekend with open trails, there were major drainage issues and many large trees down on every trail. Many Creek crossings, only one of which was bikeable. None of the crossings had bridges and they were all silty sand and sinking mud. The only crossing with a bridge was the smallest one, and it had partially floated away. No bike centric features to speak of, but an awful lot of debris and erosion. This place needs weeks of trail repair work and improvement to even be worth a visit.
