Very nice. Exceptionally quiet. Nice and clean. But, the grass certainly needs mowed. It's about ten inches tall. Also surprised that the shower house is closed overnight until 9 AM
Nice community camp building. Community fire pit. No fires allowed at sites. Clean showers, bathrooms, and laundry machines. Garbage pickup is frequent. Cardboard recycling only. Camp sites are nicely sized. Grass maintenance sometimes spaced out. RV spots are nicely paved. Lots of ticks on trails. Don't forget bug repellent or pet treatment. No playground. Large fields good for dog walks when mowed and no exercises going on. Don't complain about noise on military base unless it's your neighbors being disrespectful.
Very nice, quiet campground for overnight stay in RV. Never had to level because sites were perfect! Cement slabs, nice picnic tables, laundry room/rec center, community fire pit. Price was great for everything we needed. Only negative aspect was I wish the grassy areas weren't so overgrown. Had to walk the pups in the road & it impeded expiring the common areas.
The quietest and most secluded base campground I have ever visited! Accommodated us with last minute stop over and the post pass and ID office was able to renew my wife's expired ID without any wait. This will definitely be a stop anytime we are traveling the east coast!
A real hidden gem. Champ's is super clean and neat with full hook ups (50 amp, water, and sewage) and several pull throughs - we have a 43' with a Jeep Grand Cherokee in tow and it's long enough. I would certainly return and recommend!!
Stayed one night while traveling, great stop right off of 301. Sites are a good size with pavement. Lots of places to walk the dog. We hope to return for a few days in the future. Only suggestion is they need to mow the grass on the sites, very overgrown during our stay.
Excellent for an overnight stay or maybe a couple of days rest during a long trip. Typical military campground with little amenities but the post has options elsewhere. They hadn't mowed the grass in many weeks.
