Can't come to the FL coast and not get Seafood. Whitey's just happened to be the closest place to where I was staying, and this the winner of my dinner decision. Decent relaxed atmosphere. Anybody would feel comfortable or welcome here. I sat at the bar and the bar keep was very nice and attentive. Made sure my beverage was never empty and that I had anything I needed. The Peel and Eat Shrimp were very good. No issues there. They served them with some drawn butter, but cocktail sauce is the way to go. There may be some seasoning on the shrimp, but nothing to write home about. They are still well prepared and delicious in the state they were served. My main course was the Scallop Dinner with a baked potato and Mac and cheese. No major issues here either. Mac was a solid standard. Hard to mess that up, baked potato was the same. If you can't cook that, you can't cook. And this was done as it should be. I would have liked more or bigger scallops, but I'm a bit of a glutton for scallops. These were really good. Perfectly cooked on the grill with a little sear and touch of season. They didn't need any extra help. Great stop for a cold drink and good seafood. I'll go back and try some FL Orange Pie next time.

The burger, fried shrimp tacos, fried banana peppers, sweet potato fries and mushrooms were a perfect Sunday snack while @ Whitey's attending the Doggie Costume Contest held here by Safe Animal Shelter of Clay County right next to the water and under the tent. Our server, Haley or Hannah (can't remember her name @ the moment...sorry😔) was TRULY OUTSTANDING and took care of our large animal loving group. Sweet tea was perfect and the sauces that came with the food put everything over the top. Excellent experience for sure! This place always had a great vibe. 👍👍👍

Stopped for Lunch while in the area and it was a pleasant lunch. Cordial and prompt staff, good food, and cold draft beer. Too cold in January to enjoy the outdoor seating so look forward to enjoying sitting out in warmer months.

A fun and wild go-to place for me when I'm in town - the fish tacos are amazingly well made as are the hush puppies. If you want down home southern cooking made family recipe style this is the place for you! I'd suggest any ole twisted ice tea by the water would be a great way to spend the afternoon as the boats on the docks here are full of new good people and friends yet to be met!

Docking up with your boat can be trickey unless you are very comfortable in tight spaces. There is also a fuel pump here which is very useful. The enviornemt was welcoming, the food was great. There is alot of seating & tables, so its impressive that this place can still get so full.
