Easy check in. Beautiful site. Lots of people and families. Creek was full and sounded magnificent. Bathrooms were clean. Only thing to knock a star was the water spigots were plugged so we had to pack in all our water.
Joe the camp host was great! Always made time for any concerns. He works hard, really made our camping experience the best. The campground was nice. Only real drawback is the closest bathroom to our campsite was out of order.
A great place to escape. The place has natural scenery that looks close to the eastern United States but with mountains on either side. Pit toilets all around. Potable water was shut off due to the high water runoff with the yearly precipitation this year causing the drains to be underwater. Trails are good for biking, hiking and horseback riding. Cell signals were ok with Verizon (was able to stream.) The place is located next to a lot of businesses but far enough away to escape. Weekends get busy but still worth it. Roads are all paved but are narrow for two lane traffic. Was able to get some solar with 400w portable solar panels but the canopy can make it difficult in most spots. I'd definitely go back again. Camped with a truck and 20' trailer.
I’ve been camping my whole life! I have NEVER had such a fun and helpful camp host, Joe! He practically became part of the family! The location is amazing with great tree coverage and beautiful trails that we used for both hiking and riding horses. Bring your own water! But if you need anything Joe is there with a smile to help you with all your needs!
We pulled in around 5:30 PM Tuesday afternoon, it was very quiet. Didn't see the camp host but there are good instructions left on the welcome board as you enter the park. We grabbed a payment envelope and picked out a site. The payment is $24 per night, non electric, $12 if you have a senior or annual pass. Bring your own water as they are working on issues and water is shut off as of 9/22/2021. Camp sites are big and have nice concert pads for fire ring and picnic tables. The parking pad is asphalt and majority of sites are level. We stayed at site 14, and didn't need leveling blocks.
Quiet, secluded, lots of trees. Was charged 38$ instead of 27$ noted on recreation.gov and 31$ on the site pay station. That's not the fault of the campground though. Sites were clean and well maintained and the road is new and smooth.
