We camped in Site012 are Whitten Park in January 2025, and we couldn't be happier about our stay. Keep in mind we were the only visitors at this time. Restrooms were well maintained and very clean, dump station was easily accessible, and the views were FANTASTIC! The campground is pet friendly and easy to maneuver your RV through. We will be back!
Very nice park with most sites heavily wooded. Each site has a mostly level cement pad, large picnic area with fire pit, grill, picnic table, and lantern hook. 50/30 amp and water at each site. Many sites overlook the water. There is a path that runs along the shoreline, ending at the beach. There are several fishing piers, gazebo and a swing along the path. Fishing piers are dated. There are 3 loops, each with a shower and flush toilets. Dump conveniently located near the exit.
This was a great campground. Big rig friendly with concrete pads and picnic tables and hookups. Dump station on premises. Super hosts as well as trails and information center. Nice seafood restaurant nearby on waterfront can’t remember the name but it was amazing . Will definitely stay here again in our way to Florida
I absolutely loved it. It's right on the water, the camp Host Anita and Jackie, we're so awesome, but anyone I talked to in the booth was awesome. I just had the best time here. Thank you, everybody.
What a beautiful campground! We found Jamie Whitten Park/Fulton Recreation Campground in Fulton, Mississippi, by accident. We are traveling home to Arkansas from Tampa (post Milton), and we were just looking for a place to stop for the night. I found this place on RV Life. This is a COE (Core of Engineers) campground. Cost is very reasonable ($30. / night) if you are a senior and have a senior Federal park pass, it's only $15./night. We are staying for 3 nights! This park is located on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, which is a lock system joining the 2 rivers. So the park is right on the water. Our space is about 50 yards from the waters edge. There are several docks and boat launches in the area, and a Marina is about half a mile down the road. There is a public boat launch and several picnic pavilions before the entrance to the park. Really, you need to check this place out! There are spaces for RVs, trailers, and tent camping. Most (maybe all?) spaces have electric and water hookups. There is a dump station on the way in. All spaces have concrete level pads. There are large green spaces for kids to play and extra parking for extra cars. There are nice restrooms and bath houses on each of the three loops, with abt 20 parking/camping spaces per loop. Also, there are bike trails as well as walking paths to the docks and waters edge.
