Few campers is June. I was attracted by the adjacent National Scenic River with reported brook trout. Most sites near river have trails to river. Other campers have acres via trail too. Nice picnic and canoe launch area. The river is slow moving and shallow connecting small lakes.

Good campground. Will lake near by the swim, water was pretty warm. Toilets were clean and they have drinking water station. Mosquitoes aren't that bad at all. Fire pit and table at the lot plus lots are pretty big and private. So far good experience. 22$ for a night...lots of FF lots so we found spot for one night on Fri where all other campground were full we drove by 3 other around this are.

Best campsite EVER! I love the privacy, the abundance of nature, the safe feeling it provides, and the cleanliness of the bathrooms. We have gone to this camp for two years now and it is our favorite spot. It's intimate but also has a community aspect to it. Great price too! It also has great nature paths to explore. Enjoy your visit.

Great camp ground for rustic experiences. Camp had of max 4 other campers the entire 10 days we spent there so there was minimal interaction with people. Campsites were spaced out and clean. Bathrooms were wide spread which was good. There is a lake near by making night sky viewing great. Please note there are no showers or electricity or running water other than the drinking water.

My sisters and I stayed here for our annual camping trip and I couldn’t recommend it more! We stayed at site 17. The entire campground was very well up kept and the bathrooms were VERY clean! It was such a quiet and peaceful place to camp.

Beautiful quiet camping spot in the Hiawatha National Forest on Michigan's upper peninsula. Our spot was giant and somewhat isolated from adjoining spots. (Which is to say some tree cover to the left and the right of the spot). Pit toilets, clean and we'll maintained. Access to fresh drinking water. Well situated with good access to a variety of hikes, paddle sports, fishing and biking. There's a general store within a couple of miles or less.
