We had a great stay in a dog friendly cabin. It was clean. We ordered the linen package and those were great, but if you get cold bring an extra blanket. We were nervous about the bathroom situation, but it wasn’t too far away. They were very clean and private. Very comfortable if you are traveling with a dog.
Very nice campground. Large level sites. The WiFi was good. There are a lot of amenities and activities during the peak season. We were there in the off season and enjoyed the quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our time there.
Definitely a 5 star… variety of sites, many wooded but some pull through. Peaceful. Terrific bathroom/ rec building. Big draw is the activities offered which are also offered to the public. However, the public has a different parking area right up front and when camping you still feel very private and secure. Activities are listed: slide, climbing wall with attendant, a springy jumping thing, mini golf, baby pool, crazy splash pool and more. Rather pricy I thought but we didn’t pay $29 a day for use of the activity zone so all in no all fair. My site in E section didn’t have a sewer as I believed but the dump station is extremely neat and clean with a water hose to keep it that way. Lovely check in building, ice and wood avail. About 20 minutes drive to My Desert Island and 30 to Bar Harbor. Pristine washer/dryer area and individual shower / toilet/ sink stalks- very roomy. You pay nominally, but I get it.
Wild Acadia Campground and Fun Park is without a doubt the BEST family friendly park around Acadia National Park! For starters, the staff are the most professional, friendliest and most knowledgeable in reference to Mount Desert Island. They recommended things like The Sea Princess (boat tour) and Lulu (lobster fishing), as well as a tremendous spot for a date night at the Harbour Cottage Inn for tapas and wine! The fun park is just that, a fun park inclusive to everything a family desires for a summer vacation without standing in line! The waterpark accommodates all ages and the dry park is has plenty of creative ways to keep the family enjoying each other! The campground and facilities are state of the art, clean, private, and easily accessible from every site. We stayed in one of the amazing cabins that was spacious, clean, and comfortable for a family of four. I highly recommend Wild Acadia Campground and Fun Park to anyone visiting the area. At a minimum, do what we did, when our other reservations were complete we extended our stay to enjoy a great experience and relaxed family time! Mike (from Florida)
Wild Acadia is an absolute gem of a family-friendly campground. The grounds and facilities are pristine… the staff are smiling, friendly, helpful and hardworking. The water park is clean and so much fun! I love how the setup is of the whole place. The family had a blast and we are already planning a trip back with friends for next summer. (I failed to take many pics bc was really trying to unwind)
