A Gem of a campground! We have stayed twice. It is a very quiet and clean place, in a forested area. Nice view of the nearby marsh. We love the convenience to Portland and Old Orchard Beach. Would have loved to kayak, but it was too cold and windy. You can launch a kayak from the campground.
An adults only campground is probably one of the best things I’ve come across. It was so quiet and nice there, I miss it already. No screaming children is my idea of heaven. Beautiful location. Clean and nice bathroom, laundry service was great. If I ever make my way up to Scarborough Maine again, I am definitely staying again. Also Sue at the front desk was a delight.
Host was friendly and check in was quick. This is a very small campground. Clean, but amenities very lacking. No trails to walk, showers were so dingy, I took a pass. Smokers around me and barking dogs. Just not worth $80 a night.
Highly recommend Wild Duck if you are looking for a place to unwind from the norm. The place was so quiet on a Saturday night you could hear a pin drop. Very clean, sites are level, sand/gravel, hook ups are close to the camper so no need for 50 feet of water hose, bathrooms where clean, hot showers, nice staff, firewood delivery, and great atmosphere. One lane road coming and going so you do need to pay attention to make sure no one is trying to go your direction, or you will have to back up. Sites can be a little tight as i had a 32' travel trailer and did end up swinging my front end along another's site to make the turn but made it work. Again HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend and will definitely be back. I was in site 21 in front of the tent sites.
Quiet, relaxing. Bathrooms very clean and well kept grounds. Easy drive to Portland and Kennebunkport and Portland Head Light from this camp. Easy access to local stores including Cabelas and dining.
