We stayed in a cabin, which was clean and well-maintained. Towels and linens were provided, and the kitchen was stocked with dishes. The cabin area was neat and included nice amenities like rocking chairs, gas grill and washer and dryer. Our cabin also had a jetted tub in the upstairs bathroom, which was a nice touch. The resort offers a variety of amenities, including three pools, disc golf, mini golf, and a gym with activities. We used the indoor pool, but be aware that the pool noodles are reserved strictly for water aerobics. Bring your own towel for pool. Towels are not provided at the pool area. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The main reason for our visit was to check out the RV spots for a potential summer trip. However, we found that many of the sites were occupied by long-term residents, giving more of a trailer park feel rather than a traditional RV park atmosphere. This wasn’t the vibe we were looking for. Overall, the resort has great amenities and well-kept cabin areas, but the RV section may not be ideal for those seeking a more polished, short-term stay experience. We had fun for our 3 day visit with a 15 year old. The internet /wifi was also good.
To start we have multiple issues over the last 2 years. Cabins filthy, heat and cooling issues, blinds so bent you have no privacy and fridge not cleaned out from previous people. Most recently we were put in a trailer with no heat. The trailer has not had heat connected for quite some time but yet it was rented to us for two weekends. Now we have to move and remake all of our beds. All activities have charges now! Even for members. Halloween was condensed into one weekend with no notification so kids missed out. No sorry was given, no compensation, nothing. I have been coming here since i was a young child and this place is a pure embarrassment. We will not be coming back. So sad of what Wilderness has become.
The park was a great deal of fun. Plenty to do and it was clean and very well kept. Only problem we had was the noise at times. People setting off firecrackers at night, loud music and voices well past “quiet hours.”
Great little get away. My family and I have been going since I was a child and now I'm bringing my children. Staff members are always friendly and ready to help. Special shout out to Ron! He was fantastic teacher for the rocket class and we saw him all over the property always improving things. Cabins are well kept and the lakes are beautiful! Plenty of activities
This was the WORST “vacation”. This is in no way a RESORT!!!! The rooms were filthy. Our vertical blinds were missing teeth so we had no privacy. The cabin was infested with spiders….We had spiders in our BEDS! Oh, not to mention we could tell the beds hadn’t been cleaned because there were empty water bottles sticking out from the mattress and others just laying under the beds. It’s been several weeks and I am still waiting on a refund. My child is traumatized and will probably be scared for life (spiders crawling on him in his sleep). I ended up spending more money to stay somewhere clean. We had to leave. There’s no way we could have stayed another night. I hate that I wasted my money here because clearly they are not going to keep their word and process my refund.
