Wilderness Shores Ranch & Campground

I absolutely love Wilderness Shores! I visit at least once a month, and it never disappoints. This place is HUGE, perfect for fishing, camping, kayaking, and bringing your RV. The animals roam freely and are clearly well cared for & happy: goats, chickens, cattle, horses, and more! You can even buy feed to interact with them, which is such a fun experience. The check-in area also sells fresh eggs, meat, and other goodies. The staff goes above and beyond, making every visit special. If you’re up for some adventure, the ATV rides around the property are a must! Paul and Betty do an amazing job guiding us through the trails. And I have to mention the restrooms, so CLEAN! I have no idea how they keep them that clean with all the campers and people washing up after feeding the animals, but they do. Wilderness Shores is truly a gem. Highly recommend it for a fun and relaxing getaway or to just visit for a few hours! My 3 year old is obsessed with visiting.

This is by far one of the best campgrounds I have ever been to. The owners are super friendly. My friend & I booked 3 days here & on our 3rd day, we extended it for 3 more. It is a cattle ranch. Be ready to greet the cattle as they stroll through the campsites to a wide open area to feed & the goats, too. They are so cute. They give you 2 bags of food for the goats & cattle. Also, you'll see the horses roam & sometimes they lay down. There is so much beautiful wildlife here among the trails & campsites. Bring your camera & binoculars. Tons of lakes/ponds to fish in. Trails accommodate walking, bikes & 4 wheel ATVs. They just put in new showers, indoor ones & outdoor ones. The outdoor showers are great, each one has a separate room with a sink & toilet. The outdoor one is so refreshing. Both the indoor & outdoor showers were very clean. This met my expectations & beyond. Enjoy the scenery, it's beautiful. They also have kayaks. There is a cute general store with a few necessities, ice, candy, drinks, beef, pork, and lamb meat. There is firewood you can purchase. Every site has a grill & fire pit. I will definitely go back. My recent visit in Jan 2025 to this campground brought back such great childhood memories. The grounds are spacious/wooded/water viewed, extremely well kept showers/bathrooms. I haven't met the owner yet, but his staff does a great job representing by treating you like family and cares about your comfort and more. As for my experience with the animals... I never such impressive beasts and very friendly for all. I want to thank Wilderness Shores Ranch & Campground for setting the standards and assisting me in introducing camping to my daughter and providing us with memorable stories to share. Her words "If this is what camping is about... I'm in!"

My husband and I went for our first time and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. We brought our for-wheeler and drove around the property, rented a kayak for our first time and had soooo much fun. Seen a bunch of smaller gators out on the water which made the experience even more enjoyable 🥰🐊 The goats were super cute and you can just go in the pen and hang out with them as long as you want 😊 The shower and bathroom setup was also very cool. All of the staff were super nice and helpful. We will definitely be coming back 😊 Thank you for a wonderful experience ❤️

This place is absolutely amazing!!!! Paul & his crew are so awesome!! There’s so much to do here. A quiet get away, go hiking, kayaking, feed the cows, pet the goats, etc. You will never run out of stuff to do here. And talk about beautiful….all the trees full of birds, water views & fishing banks galore. The facilities are very clean & kept up, beautiful gazebo for events & I absolutely love the covered bridge with bench swings. I can’t recommend this place enough!!!
